Chapter 17 - Shalour City

3rd Person POV

If there was one place that Clemont was in no way looking forward to, then it's going to Shalour City with, the dreaded, Bonnie. There is no need to ask why, as if you haven't noticed, the entire journey around Kalos so far has lacked one certain thing that we know Bonnie for. If you cannot guess for whatever reason, then it's her usual catchphrase - 'you're a keeper, please take care of my brother!'.

There is a big reason why she has stayed silent, because she knows that the two Gym Leader's of Lumiose and Shalour City are getting very close, and it's something that she is all too eager for. Korrina has been a sisterly figure to Bonnie for as long as she could remember, both Korrina and her brother became their city's respective Gym Leader at the same time about 3 years ago. Every so often, there is a Gym Leader meet up where they all converge at a certain city which contains one of the Gym's for a few days, the first was Santalune - and because it's so close, Bonnie was allowed to go with her brother to accompany him for his first time meeting the others.

It was then where they met the other new Gym Leader, Korrina, who was all to eager to be with Bonnie. You see, there is a certain thing that not many know about the respectable Fighting-Type Gym Leader, it's that she is a bit, well, for lack of better words, Baby-crazy. What that means is that she absolutely adores children, and mothers them a lot, and even though she is 16 along with Clemont, she still wants a child of her own. And that's kind of a glaring issue for the inventor, who is very shy, and doesn't exactly want to have one just yet.

They both met at the meet up, which was basically their welcoming party, and basically hit it off immediately. It's as they say, opposites attract, as those two couldn't be any more different at that time. Korrina is athletic as her signature type dictates, while Clemont is in no way as athletic - he mostly stays put inside the tower, creating machine's to improve the lifestyle of his City's inhabitants. At that time, she was very confident in her abilities, and as you can guess, he wasn't so much.

There are more reasons to explain why they differ so much, but it was new for them to hear the experience's of the other, as it was a life completely opposite of their own. For Bonnie, it was a massive success to see her brother getting along with a girl who she loved as her big sister, and ever since that time they met, she has been attempting to get them to be together as much as possible.

At the second meet up in, funnily enough, Lumiose City, the 8 Gym Leader's stayed in the rooms provided by the Volta Family in their home of Prism Tower. Of course, Bonnie managed to get Korrina to stay at the room beside Clemont's, which severely annoyed him from his sisters antics, but even he couldn't deny that he enjoyed every second with Korrina, which their father picked up on, as he spent more time getting to know his 'future daughter-in-law'. It was the week where the unfortunate teen was harassed by his own family about his growing friendship with the girl. What made it worse is that Bonnie took it a step further and actually convinced the others to help her with getting them together, when they were all in the dining room as the blondies were getting the food. The biggest supporters were unsurprisingly Valerie and Viola, while Olympia and Wulferic were rather too amused to not give their support, as they agreed our of pure entertainment.

Then there was the third meet up about two months ago, which was chosen to be Shalour City as the others went off with their promise the the overly eager Bonnie. During the time between the annual meeting's, both of the Gym Leader's have been with each other for extended periods of time, and only further added to their growing love for the other, which only Bonnie knew about both sides' feelings. She knows that her brother is in love with Korrina, who is also in love with him not just from Bonnie, but because she loves his character - especially when he gets serious and sheds the shy nature he is mostly seen with, which usually happens most during Gym battles.
