Added N's encounter theme for the chapter, let me know if it is a good addition or not.

Ash's POV

I was swept into a deep slumber, the whole day exhausted me and I really needed to escape into the depths of either my dreams or memories. This time it was the latter.

'N, even if we don't understand each other, that's not a reason to reject each other. There is two sides to any argument. Is there one point of view that has all the answers? Give it some thought.'

- Alder, former Unovan Champion.

That quote from the retired trainer opened the floodgates of the fresh memory regarding why he stepped down. I heard the voice of a man who was willing to alter the very nature of society. I don't think my memories of that fateful day would ever fade.

"Come to me, Reshiram!" A voice in the distance called

...

"Zekrom, I need your assistance!" I shouted

...

It was still a moment I could never forget, the time I met a man who was alike to me, with the rare ability of understanding the hearts and speech of Pokemon, gifted to one while the other earned it.

His name was N

From what I was told, he was raised by native Pokemon in the forests of Unova after being abandoned as a baby along with his two sisters - Athena and Concordia. The time spent growing up with the Pokemon earned them the incredible ability of understanding Pokemon speech, even though he was only there for a few years.

Unfortunately, for this reason, it was the cause of his abduction and subsequent brainwashing by the man who found then in the woods. Ghetsis.
One of the Seven Sages of Team Plasma. It was an organization formed with the alias of freeing Pokemon from humans because we didn't deserve the creatures we capture and command. However, under the gracious demeanor they showed to the people of Unova, there was the disgusting truth. Granted, they wanted to separate humans and Pokemon but not because of our unworthiness, but because they wanted to be the only ones able to command them in order to have complete control over the region.

This is where N comes in,
he was supposed to lead them and order the trainers of the world to release their Pokemon. How, you may ask? Well, that's where Alder comes in. Because he was the strongest trainer in the region, other trainers listened to him. It was the simple truth.

He was raised by Ghetsis in the underground castle of Team Plasma that surrounded the Pokemon League. That one room was his whole world for years. It was why he seemed so distant and reclusive. When I spoke to N for the first time after arriving in the region, his talking was so fast that it took me a while to even wrap my head around it. When I found out about our shared ability, I was flabbergasted - so was he.

Reason being was that my Pikachu and Team were the first Pokemon he had ever seen with such a close bond to their trainer, it shattered his view of every Pokemon being used as tools by their trainers. But still, his mind was deep in the web of his foster fathers lies. So much so that he saw it as the undeniable truth - this is important for later.

Every time I saw him, he always reminded me how unique I am compared to others, how my Pokemon are willing to drop dead if it were for my safety. He was traveling around as I did and we came across each other frequently, and we battled so he can hear my teams inner voices.
What's peculiar is that he always has a different team except his Zorua/Zoroark was always there. Later I found out it was because his team was never with him for more than a day at minimum, every battle I fought with him were against local Pokemon he captured recently - even his own starter was released.
