Lucy's Point of View
I was walking through the brightest green meadows that I had ever seen. The sky above me was shining so brightly that my eyes had to absorb in the colour. There were no clouds in the sky making it so easy for the sun to shine right through on to the grass making it shine even more. There was one that that I knew, and that was that I'd never been to this place before. A man was sat under a giant tree, getting some shade from the bright sun. He was reading a book that I recognised but had not read before. His hair was brown and floppy and he looked very youthful. I had not seen anybody like him in my lifetime. I then realised that my soul was travelling again. As I drew closer, the young man looked up at me, and it was then when I knew who it was. His wise eyes echoed outstanding knowledge and living a full life. I knew exactly who he was.
"Grandfather!" I shouted, and he suddenly got up and ran towards me, pulling me into a tight hug. He was full of energy and that I was thankful for. I had never seen him so happy.
"How did you find me here, Luce?" he asked me, grinning.
"I think I'm doing that soul travelling again, which means I haven't got long," I told him sadly. "How are you doing?" I asked him. His smile brightened even more.
"I've spoken to your Grandmother again," he told me excitedly. "She was happy to see me."
"Wow I'd love to meet her one day."
"Not until your time, little Lucy," he said, patting my head.
"Oh I know," I laughed. "I'm not ready to die yet."
"You must be one strong Princess of Spirit to be able to contact me here," he acknowledged. I smiled.
"I think you're my guardian, Grandfather," I suddenly realised. Every living person that was worthy had a guardian, who was usually somebody close to them.
"It may be that," Grandfather said. He looked pleased with the idea.
"Luce, you have to tell Robin about his parents, he needs to know it was me who killed them," he said solemnly.
"But he will be mad at me!" I yelled a little too loudly.
"Have trust in yourself, little one," he told me.
"I think I have to leave now," I said, a little upset that our time together was so short.
"Alright little one, I hope to see you soon," he whispered tentatively.
"Thank you," I replied, and felt the entire world suck me back down to reality.
I woke up, crying, but with tears of happiness. I had seen my Grandfather! He was happy, and that was all that mattered. He looked so young - so energetic! It was so different to how I had seen him before.
"Are you alright, love?" Robin asked me, sitting up from his pile of hay. Oh dear; Robin. I would have to explain to him.
"I've just spoken to Grandfather Edmund," I whispered. Robin looked surprised.
"Why are you so sad?" he told me, coming closer and kneeling in front of me, putting his hand on my knee.
"Because he told me to tell you something," I mumbled. He looked even more surprised.
