The floor shook. Julia could faintly hear the shouts of the men in the streets. They were angry. Very angry. All because the government was too selfish and too greedy to be fair to all people.

The reason for the people's current displeasure was the criminal trial of Ayden, a 14 year old boy. One of the societies richer families had accused the boy of the brutal murder of their 16 year old daughter Liana. It had been quite obvious that these accusations had no actual facts supporting them. Especially after multiple people testified that Ayden had been no where near the murder. Yet he was still convicted and hung in the span of an hour. Now, a literal war was breaking out in the streets. Ayden became a fire that fed the sparks that had been growing for quite a while. Ayden's death was the spark that lit the flame of rebellion, and now chaos had taken over the streets.

Several hours later, the rebellion had been "quelled" tens of hundreds of people had been slaughtered, and the city had burned. As Julia walked outside into the smoldering remains, she looked upon the families that had lost a member, or their homes, and how they were scrambling frantically to salvage all they could. Many tried to grab their things and run, other simply fell to the ground, held their possessions close and sobbed. Julia looked around in horror at the chaos that had been created by the death of one boy, and how quickly anger turned into violence.
