I really hate myself for easily giving up when it comes to him! I hate myself for forgetting what I saw yesterday for the sake of our relationship.

I set aside my thoughts and started baking. It's been 2 hours since I started and I just need to decorate the cake.

"You really look beautiful when you're too focused on what you're doing". I looked up and saw him looking at me.

"Ye-yeah". I hide my red cheeks.

I wanted to pull my own hair because of the frustration.

Girl, don't forget what you saw.

"Is there something bad I said?". I didn't notice that I stared blankly out of nowhere.

I let out a heavy sigh and looked at him straight to his eyes. I had the courage to speak.

"What were you doing at the mall yesterday?". He looked at me unsure.

"What are you-"

"I said what are you doing!". Jay flinched, I didn't stop myself from yelling.

"I-I'm b-buying a gift for my Mom. Hey, is there something wrong?". He got up from his seat and walked towards me.

"Are you telling the truth?". I moved away when he was trying to get my hands.

"I'm telling the truth. What's the problem?". He looked clueless, huh.

"I-I saw you with a g-girl yesterday". I feel warm water streaming down my cheeks.

"Shit". I heard him cursing.

"That's why you're acting cold and don't reply or answer my call?". He moves forward to me but I go backwards.

"I-it supposed to be a surprise!". He exclaimed, I just glanced at him still crying.

"Look, it's not like that. The girl you saw was my friend, she came with me to buy a gift, a ring to be specific for Mom". I stop crying and sniffle.

"B-but I saw you, you put a necklace on her and hugged you". I'm stuttering.

"This is supposed to be a surprise but nevermind". He pulled out a box from his pocket and moved forward, this time I didn't move.

"I wanted to give it to you tomorrow but since you already saw this-". He put his thumb on my cheeks and wiped the tears.

He opened the box, it's a necklace. This is the necklace I saw yesterday.

"This is a promise necklace, I wanted to let you that even if we're not that sweet to each other, I will always be here for you no matter what. I will be here not just as your boyfriend but also as your best friend". After that he go behind my back and put the necklace on me.

"I wanted to surprise you on my Mom's birthday. I'm sorry for making you cried". He then wrapped his arms around me.

"Wa-wait! I saw you guys hug". I pout.

"She was showing me how you will react because she knows how nervous I am, well until now that I finished my speech". He laughed.

"I hate you!". I playfully punched his chest.

"I love you too". He held my chin up and quickly kissed my lips.

"What is that?!". We didn't notice Daniel standing looking at us disgusted.

"Hey! Get lost!". I throw the cling wrap to him, he runs fast.

"I'm sorry again". Jay spoke.

"No, it's not your fault. It's my fault for over thinking". I peck, kiss and get back on what I was doing.

He followed me and hugged me on my back. I hold the pendant and smile ear to ear.

"I love you". I said and held his hands on my waist tight.

I finished the cake and put it back in the fridge. I dragged him to the living room and got snacks.

We just cuddled the whole day, being in each other's embrace. I love how he smelled to be honest, I wanted to live beside him.

"I loved your smell". I said and looked up since I'm under his chin.

"I can also tell, you've been sniffing on me". He laughed, and I suddenly felt embarrassed.

"Okay, sorry". I moved a little away from him.

"No, it's okay to come here". He opened his arms again.

I accepted it and put my head on his chest. We just watched a movie while eating some cookies I made and chips.

The next day, I woke up and got ready for school since it's our schedule for today. I got the clothes ready for tonight.

Nothing much happened in the school. We just try all the games available and some booths. We passed by the horror booth and the boys didn't even look at the poor booth.

"I will pick you up later". Jay said when he dropped me off at our house.

"Yes love, just text me if you are already here". I said and gave him a kiss on his cheek.

I started to get ready and put on my clothes. I also put on makeup and arrange the bag I will bring.

It's already 7:00 in the evening when I finished, just in time Jay texted me. I get the cake and go outside.

"Damn! You look like a goddess, Luna". I playfully turn around to hide my red cheeks.

"Can I get a kiss?". He looked at me with a bright smile on his face.

"Later". I said and got in his car.

"Why? From now on it's mandatory to give me a kiss every day!". He was seriously looking at me.

"What?! Ugh! Fine!". I quickly kissed him.

"You really looked pretty, well you always looked beautiful". He said and started driving.
