The other side of the window was filled with chatter. The doctors were rushing me to my room not saying a word to me but each other. Racing me down the hall to my room. When they got to my room and put my bed where it had been before. I yelled, "WHAT IS GOING ON!!" The doctors stopped. Looked at me and back at the other doctor. "Katherine, " Docter gray said as she walked through the door. She had the x-ray in her hand. She looked at the nurses and doctors and they moved back away from me. " If you look right here, " She said pointing to a white spot. "This is your brain. The White spot is a tumor..." She paused and looked at me " We need to get you into surgery so we can stop your seizures and get you home."

" oh."

" Katherine, we are going to get you prepped for surgery so we can get the tumor out of your head ok?"

"ok."

One of the Nurses came through with a pair of scissors and a razer. I just sat there with my eyes closed I couldn't say anything without bursting into tears, all I could think of was Bella. I heard the first snip. Then another and another. They kept cutting until my head felt so light like it was going to pop off of my head. I opened my eyes and I couldn't believe it. I had lost the only thing that I took care of. They helped me stand up as they cleaned up the rest of the hair. my blond hair with green streaks. I walked over to the bathroom shut the door and locked it. sliding down the door with my back to it I felt my eyes fill with tears. I sat there not knowing what to do next.

A small knock on the door " Katherine, are you ready for the rest of the prep?"

"Yeah, I'll be out in a sec.." I stood up and looked in the mirror at all of my scars all of my imperfections. Looked at the dark circles under my eyes and look at the stretch marks on my stomach. Like lightning strikes mapped out all over my body. I look at the back of my hands and all of the marks my dad left me. deep breath in and breathe out.  I opened the door. Walked out of the door and sat down. I went limp laying down in my bed and staring out of the window. they stuck an IV in my arm. Took my vitals and off we went.  Tumbling down the hall they started the anesthetic. Count down from 10, 9, 8, 7-. Down into the darkness, I crept.
