The 4 were sitting around the camp fire going over the map. "Since we passed the canyon, we should be right about here." Kyra started. Nathan then spoke up. "So tomorrow, we need to head up to the Piety Mountain-" Timmy continued."Cut through the cave." Ryan finished "And locate the meadow at the peak." Everyone ate the berry soup Kyra made with crackers and discussing battle strategies as Ryan looked toward Alex with his expression saddened. The other cat was cringing in pain again and tears were forming in his eyes as he unconsciously muttered."no..please...don't hurt me.." Ryan clenched his fist wondering who was hurting his fellow cat. Then he noticed that the red on Alex's tail grew again. Ryan quickly went over and stroke his tail reassuringly. Alex quietly smiled as Ryan checked his tail. His corruption had grown another inch. Ryan growled with determination, ready to save Alex no matter what. "Hang on Alex. We'll be there soon.
. . .
"No please! Don't hurt me." Alex found himself cornered by a cloaked mysterious pursuer. "Pff. Weak." He lifted his hand and a bloodlust form of Alex's music orb attack. Alex then suddenly found himself being pulverized by the attack and layed sprawled on the ground, pulsing with pain. The figure was about to use the attack again to finish him when a bright yellow light made him disappear. The light turned into Ryan and knelt down to pick up Alex. The moment began to fade to black as Alex dozed back to a non dreaming state.. . .
A small wolf running through the forest had a demon charm on its collar as it dashed through the woods. It entered a torch-lit cave with someone sitting on a throne made of stone. The wolf bowed and used telepathy. We've found the cat you were looking for Elijah. He's been corrupted however and has only 5 days left before the release. Also, he has no memory left of you, but he can be reminded."I see. Allow them to finish their quest. Once he's safe, I doubt he'll stay with them. That's when we'll come in and get our friend back." The wolf nodded and jumped in his lap, falling asleep.
Elijah looked toward the moon and smiled. "Looks like we finally can meet again, huh Alex? Don't worry, I'll protect you." He let a small pulse of light flow from his hand. "There, that should hold. Sweet dreams Al."
. . .
Ryan and Alex shared a tent when he suddenly saw half the red on Alex's tail glow white and revert back to black. The smaller cat smiled and muttered Good night Eli. "Eli? Who's that." Ryan wondered before he finally dozed off.
