TWELVE

"Trent are you nearly ready?" Mia shouted from the front door.

"Yeah I'm coming," Trent said as he walked downstairs.

"Have you got the cakes?"

"Already in the car."

The couple made their way outside before getting in and driving to their destination.

It had now been two weeks. Two weeks since Trent's accident. Two weeks since Delilah was born and two weeks since the couple had tried for a baby. Trent's leg was slowly beginning to heal but because of it he hadn't managed to meet Delilah yet. Today was that day.

They were on their way to Alex and Perrie's place so Trent could meet her. The couple had also brought some cake samples so they could help decided on the flavour of their wedding cake seen as their wedding was only 5 weeks away.

They pulled up in the driveway before getting out and walking inside.

"Hey. It's so good to see you again," Perrie said as she brought Mia into a hug.

"You too. Where is she?" Mia asked once they pulled away.

"In the living room with Alex."

The all walked in to see Alex sat on the couch as she lay asleep in his arms. Perrie sat down next to him as Mia and Trent sat on the other sofa.

Alex stood up and passed Delilah to Mia as he bro hugged Trent.

"It's good to see you up and moving," Alex laughed.

"Yeah. Couple more weeks and I should be back on the pitch. Get back to winning," Trent replied.

"Come on. We're not that bad without you."

"You haven't won anything of the three games you've played. Face it. I'm the best right back on the team," Trent told him.

Delilah started to gurgle and move around in Mia's arms before she woke up.

"There she is," Mia sang causing Trent to look at the two girl sat next to him. "You wanna hold her," she asked when she noticed him staring at them.

He nodded his head before Trent took her out of Mia's arms. Delilah smiled up a Trent causing him to smile back.

"You're good with her," Perrie said causing Trent to smile even more.

"So how is the baby making going?" Alex asked causing Mia to choke on the air.

"Excuse me?" Mia said once she had collected herself again.

"The baby making."

"You couldn't have put it a nicer way."

"It's just the first thing that came to my mind. Anyways how's it going."

"We tried about 2 weeks ago but nothing. We're going to try again at the weekend after I spend the day with the girls," Mia said slightly disappointed.

"Hey. We'll get there," Trent said as he handed Delilah back to Perrie and pulled Mia onto his lap.

"I know. I mean I didn't even want kids a few months ago but now we're actually trying. I guess it's just kinda disappointing when nothing happens," Mia explained.

Everyone went silent not knowing what to say.

"Anyways. How about we decide the flavour of our wedding cake now," Mia said as she brought the box of cake flavours in from the hallway.

She handed each of them a box which contained 6 cupcakes. Each a dfferent flavour and filling. The first one they tried was a plain vanilla sponge with jam in the middle with vanilla buttercream.
