THIRTY ONE

Mia and Trent jumped out of the car and started making their way towards the building.

"Babe are you sure this is the right place?" Trent asked wrapping his arm around Mia's waist as they continued walking.

"Positive."

Mia pushed the door open and let Trent walk in first. All the lights were off so the room was pitch black. Neither of them could see anything and there was no noise.

"Ermm babe?" Trent questioned looking around around but he couldnt see anything.

Mia walked over to one of the walls and found the light switch. She flicked it on causing everyone to shout "surprise."

Trent stumbled back in shock before letting a smile appear on his face.

"Did you do this?" he chuckled wrapping his arms around Mia and hugging her.

"I sure did. With help from Perrie and your mum of course."

"Well thank you."

Trent placed a quick kiss on her lips before walking off to go and talk to some of his friends.

"Hey sis," Mia heard from behind her. She turned around to see Tyler walking over to her with his arms out wide.

"Hey Ty," she replied hugging him.

"How are you and the little one?" he asked once they pulled away.

"We're good. Getting closer to meeting him now. I can't wait. 6 more weeks and I get to have my cuddles."

"I bet you can't and I know Trent can't wait. He doesn't stop going on about you two and how he's going to teach him to play football when he's older."

"That does sound like Trent," Mia chuckled.

"Well I better go back to Marcel. I think hes trying to chat up Neco's sister so should probably stop that before he makes her feel uncomfortable."

Mia laughed as Tyler walked away and vanished into the crowd of people.

"Babe over here."

She walked over to Trent who handed her a glass of lemonade.

"Thank you."

"So my grandma his here and just to warn you she doesn't like many people."

Mia braised herself before joining the group of people in their conversation.

"Gran this is Mia my w-" but Trent was cut off before he could finish.

"Oh great another one of your sluts," Mia was quite taken aback by what 60 year old woman was saying.

"No gran this is actually my wife."

Mia gave her a soft smile before turning to look at Trent. He placed his hand on the small of her back to reassure her.

"Yeah I'd don't care who she is. You'll be seeing someone new next week. For all we know that baby isn't even yours and she's just saying it is to get your money," she scoffed looking at Mia's baby bump.

"Mum that's enough," Dianne snapped at her mother. "Mia has been there for Trent for the past 2 years. She's a beautiful and kind young woman who loves Trent so much so don't talk about my daughter like that."

The older woman just rolled her eyes before walking back over to the bar to get another glass of whiskey.

"Thank you Dianne," Mia said as she hugged her mother-in-law.

"No problem sweetheart. You don't deserve to be treated like that," Dianne replied as she rubbed Mia's back. "Now go enjoy the party with Trent."

Mia walked over to the Liverpool lads with Trent and spent the night drinking (lemonade) and laughing.

Out of nowhere all of the lights were once again switched off and everyone went silent.

Mia turned to look at Trent with a smile on her face.

"Happy birthday to you," she started to sing as Perrie and Alex came out holding Trent's birthday cake.

Everyone soon joined in with the song and once it had finished Trent blew out the candles and everyone cheered

"Happy birthday hubby," Mia smiled.

"Thank you my wifey."

Trent placed a gentle hand on Mia's cheek and one on her waist and brought her into a kiss. It was one of those passionate yet soft ones that she loved. The ones that made her weak in the knees and wanting more but she had to pull away.

"I love you Mia."

"I love you too Trent."
