"Wow! I don't think I've seen such beautiful flowers in some time!" He yelled happily as he pranced through the fields. "Jinhai, look! There's even butterflies!" Laughter filled the air as he ran around before coming back to me. "Move your lazy butt, let's go!"
He dragged me through the luscious grass as it tickled my skin. "Go slower baby. You might hurt yourself." I said while trying to make him slow down.
"Maybe a little later." He stopped before looking at me, thinking. He suddenly lunged and touched me before running away screaming, "Tag!"
A chuckle left my mouth before I ran behind him, easily catching up. I gave him a big hug from behind kissing his ear. "Tag, you're it."
I watched as the little kids played in the field, not a care in the world. Their parents slowly follow them, taking their time to appreciate the sight. A wave of sadness washed over me, making me feel submerged. Please forgive me baby. Please forgive me. I know that I messed up. But everyone deserves a second chance... right?
I shook my head. Maybe everyone does, but my sin might be too big to be forgiven. I stood up, sneaking one last look at the field before walking away, taking my memories with me.
