It was a lovely afternoon, the sun was shining, birds were chirping and my best friend was obsessing over her crush.

"B-but Y/N, master Byakuya will be there, s-so I have to go."

"It's your birthday Toko, don't you want to spend it with me?" I looked at my best friend

"I-i can't! I need to find Byakuya! "

I sighed and went back home.
I looked at the cake placed on the table, balloons all over the room but no birthday girl.

I wanted Toko to come with me and spend her birthday at my house. But she wants to spend it with her crush who doesn't even notice her.

I layed down on the couch, as I was about to doze off I heard a knock on the door.

*What now?* I thought

I opened the door and before me stood...
Toko?

Fukawa was covered in mud and she was soaking wet.

I quickly got her inside and gave Toko a towel and clean clothes.
She went into the bathroom and took a shower while I waited.

Finally she got out.
"So wanna tell me what happened?" I asked her

Toko looked at me
"W-well I was running towards Byakuya
t-then I fell into a puddle a-and then he just stood there and watched! He scoffed and walked away, ju-just like that!"

Toko started crying, I hugged her
"Hey it's ok, he doesn't deserve you anyway."
"W-what?"
"I said what I said, Togami doesn't deserve someone as amazing as you."

Toko looked away and saw the party decor.
"It was supposed to be for your birthday."
I told her

"Y-you did all of that for me...? W-why are you so nice to me?! Do you want to d-do something to me and-

" No Toko I would never want to hurt you! I promise. Because I.. I really like you okay?
And it felt awful  to see you get hurt by Togami."

I wasn't sure if Toko believed me, so I took out a box.
"It's your birthday gift. Go ahead open it."
I smiled and handed her the box.

She cautiously opened it and gasped.
Inside was a purple diamond necklace.

"I-is this for me..? "

"Yup. Do...you like it?

" I love it.I didn't think you'd get me something like this! "

"Well I am glad you like it." I got up

"H-hey where are you going?"
I stopped and looked at her.

"I thought we were celebrating my birthday."
Toko continued

I smiled
"Of course we are, now come on before the cake gets cold."
