It was currently exactly a week until my friends and I would begin our Hogwarts journey. The summer before school was coming to an end and I must say I would greatly miss being so free with my friends.

Two days ago I had arrived home from Greece where I was staying with the Zabinis. Mrs Zabini always helped father with me when he was busy with work, ever since mother passed she had completely taken me under her wing and I was forever thankful of it. It meant that Blaise and I were practically siblings, we were so close and so protective of one another. I had always sworn that I would seriously hurt the girl that brakes his heart, if it ever happened. And he would do the exact same to anyone who hurt me, if not worse.

Due to the holiday, my skin was slightly tanner than usual, it made my green eyes pop with colour. I ran my charmed hairbrush through my long dark hair whilst deciding on an outfit for the day.

When I was happy with my appearance, I skipped down the stairs to meet with father in the parlour. He was tying his tie in the large elegant mirror when he turned to see me. Being the wealthy, pure blood descendants of Merlin that we were, we would never be seen in public dressed in any less than the absolute best. I loved it of course, ever since I was able to dress myself I always enjoyed picking out my fanciest outfits just for a trip to Diagon Alley. Any excuse to look good, mother would say to me.

"Celestia, my sweet you do look lovely!" Father patted my head and smiled down at me.

I held my head high and smoothed out any potential creases in my skirt, I met fathers gaze and just as I opened my mouth to speak, a bright spark of green erupted from our fireplace.

The Malfoys had arrived!

"Ah Lucius, Narcissa! Welcome" father smiled, greeting them politely. "And young Draco, goodness you get taller every time I see you"

Lucius proudly patted his sons back as the adults broke into conversation. I ran over to Draco and pulled him into a hug, he instantly returned.

"Celest, how are you? How was your holiday? Merlins beard you're so tan!"

"Hello Draco" I grinned at him, pulling away from the hug. "Oh Draco it was wonderful! We stayed at the grandest hotel, with a rooftop pool!"

I rambled on to him about the wonders of Greece until our parents announced it was time to floo to Diagon Alley.

Every inch of the street was bustling with parents and their children stocking up for the year ahead. So far we had brought everything on our lists, apart from our owls, robes and our wands.

As soon as we entered Eeylops Owl Emporium, Draco and I's jaws hit the floor. Every single owl was so beautiful and well behaved. Whilst we looked for the perfect companion, our parents made conversation with the owner Mr Eeylop himself whom was both the most excited and the most frightened to have such powerful and rich families like ours inside his store.

We finally left the store and in my hands was my beautiful new owl. She was the most wonderful, well kept and well trained screech owl I had ever laid eyes on. I had named her Starla, she was tiny and could sit in my hand comfortably. Starla had fluffy feathers that ranged from the purest whites all the way to the darkest blacks. She was perfect, to show her this I gave her a gentle head scratch which she seemed to be thankful for.

Draco on the other hand, had opted for the largest Eurasian Eagle Owl I had ever seen, he was a beautiful mix of dark browns and blacks and had the most piercing glowing red eyes, the perfect messenger for Draco I thought. He was impossibly huge and it was a wonder how he could even fly. Despite all of this, he was of course gorgeous, and just as well mannered as Starla.
