I had been chasing him all over the place and as much as I didn't want to make the situation obvious, people were probably be wondering about what the heck was going on. But I made it seem like we were siblings by calling "Hey, that's mine, brother. Give it back." So that it didn't seem like I was being robbed.
I went outside of the supermarket and lost track of him since then. I was so frustrated with myself that I wasn't able to catch him. I was sure he knew something that I didn't but the real question that was in my mind was, why did he follow me and for how long did he?
I had to quickly go back inside and make up an excuse. Mom would be wondering where I went and I didn't want to lie to her. I went back to another aisle and messaged her that I was getting some fruits and vegetables.
The whole time, that question was fixed in my head. There had to be some way I could catch him. I hardly knew who this person was. It got me thinking, and worried, I hoped this person, whoever he was, wouldn't harm the people around me. To me, it's frightening and scary to lose any more people that I value very much.
I felt really insecure and always cautious about my surroundings. I even let Susan and Stacy know about this just in case. Going home, it got me thinking again, just by looking and stalking me, what would he gain?
Was he being ordered to follow me? But what for exactly? The dots just didn't connect for me. When we reached back home, I helped mom unpack all the stuff we had bought and I must say, it gets a bit exhausting. Then later, mom had to go to the Johnsons' house as well.
Mother left after a while with Uncle Kevin. I was sure, that it wasn't easy for her either. The worrying part of all this was her health. Mothers want nothing more than what's best for their kids, but in that process they forget about themselves.
I told mother to message me when she arrived there and then I heard my phone ring. When I checked to see who it was, and it was actually Susan and Stacy. They were informing me about everything and that I should be very careful and that they would be as well. However, the question I had was that, how far would this person go? What does he intend to do with me exactly?
From the way I see it, he knows about father but does he know I'm his daughter? I thought of writing all these thoughts in the journal. Maybe it would make some sort of sense to me then. In the end, what I had concluded, was that this person either knows me, or my father. He wants to either ask me something, but can't, or is ordered by someone to stalk me, but for what?
I just sighed. To me, it just doesn't add up at all. All I know, is I have to be very careful from now on, and make sure no one finds out about this. I don't want anyone worrying about this when there is already a lot on our heads.
I thought to myself, why not go and check on what Isla is doing. I knocked on her door and heard a "come in", only to see her doing her homework.
Isla: "Hi Sis.....everything alright?"
Bella: "Yeah, everything is fine. I was just wondering if you're willing to take a little break for a bit and play like the old times."
Isla: "Ohhh, sure. I don't mind that. What did you have in mind?"
Bella: "The old game we used to play a lot in our free time on the PlayStation."
Isla: "Ohhh you're so on sister. I wonder how much you and I still remember."Bella: "Let's play all of them and see how much we know."
Isla: "Alright let's go!!!"
It had been such a long time since I had this much fun. It made me wonder, when had she and I had such a fun time like this last? A time like this makes all your worries disappear. For a little bit, at least. But then again, all was still similar.
So far, we had heard no news about Maria. Her state was still the same. Nor did we know what had happened. I was sitting with my journal and was getting frustrating because I wasn't getting anything new. Just the same old information. Later on after a while, I heard my phone ring and it was Susan.
Bella: "Hey Susan. What's up-"
Susan: "I saw Bella....the dude in the black hoodie. He was there while I was shopping for makeup. And let me just say, what a day."
Bella: "Susan, calm down. Did he try to approach you? And are you sure it's him?"
Susan: "The way I could tell was because he wore all black. Just like he did that day. And it makes sense he would follow me after that day. But then again, I don't know why he is."
Bella: "Just stay where you are and don't do anything please. I don't want you getting hurt."
Susan: "At first, I was going to follow him. But then if you insist on me staying, I will. Plus, I don't know what this dude has up his sleeves."
Bella: "What are you, me? To follow him in a situation like that? Just stay where you are. I'll come to you."
Susan: "No, Bella its fine, you don't have to- oh my god. Damn it the dude is gone."
Bella: "He's gone?! What do you mean?!"
Susan: "I don't see him anywhere now. I'm searching around and trying to blend in as well. What shade of lipstick you said you wanted?"
Bella: "What kind of lipstick I want?? Ohhhhhh look for a pink rosy shade. Maybe that would suit me more."
Susan: "Oh sure. On it. I'm looking around and I don't see anything in particular."
Bella: "Well then, leave it at that. But just be very careful and make sure you aren't on your own, okay?"
Susan: "Don't worry. I will tell dad to pick me up immediately. Let Stacy know, okay? Please and thank you."
Bella: "Okay, sure."
The only thing I could think of, was that I'm sure after this, it would be Stacy. Would there be any possible way for me to catch this mysterious person?
