His hand left the steering wheel and reached for Lydia's hand. When they found each other, they intertwined their fingers. His eyes met with hers for a little moment. Then he smiled and focused on the road again.

"C'mon Stiles, you don't have to smile," said Lydia. "we both know you didn't like the movie."

She was right. Midnight in Paris definitely wasn't one of his favourite movies. He had wanted to watch Dolittle, but Lydia had disagreed. She thought it was movie for little kids. He was defenseless against her arguments, so they did it her way.

"It wasn't that bad," Stiles said at last. They had only been dating for a very short time, so he didn't wat to upset her.

Lydia looked at him and burst out laughing.

"It wasn't that bad?" she repeated after him still laughing out loud.

"For half of the movie you commented sarcastic remarks and cursed at all the main characters for their acting."

"But their acting sucked!" he started defending himself. He was convinced that if the main character had acted otherwise it would have been much better for everyone.

"Yeah, whatever," Lydia stopped that small talk and watched the landskape outside the window again.

After few minutes Stiles felt Lydia squeeze his hand too hard.

"Ouch, babe, that hurts, " he said, trying to release his hand from her grip.

"Stop the car, Stiles," she said. He could hear something mysterious in her voice. He figured out immediately that this was the banshee side of his girlfriend.

"Oh no, not now," he groaned, but parked the car on the side of the road.

As soon as he did it, Lydia jumped out of the car and looked into the crowd in the square. Once Stiles turned off the engine he hurried after her.

She seemed pretty interested in something or someone she saw in the crowd.

"Lydia, what do you see," Stiles asked, looking for anyting that could catch an eye of a banshee.

There were over fifty people and every single one of them could be the one Lydia was looking for.

Stiles gently touched her shoulder. For her, it was like a slap that brought her back to reality. She blinked quickly and looked around. It was obvious that she was confused.

"How did I get here?" she asked and turned to Stiles. He frowned at her, perhaps even more confused that she was.

"You don't remember anything?"

She raised an eyebrow and answered: "No," then she shook her head and continued, "please, don't tell me that it was my banshee thing."

Lydia looked at Stiles, hoping that he would say the oposite. But his face said it for him. The banshee side of her did this.

She sighted and wiped her forehead with her hand.

"Finally things had begun to return to normal. If this means a new problem for Beacon Hills, I officially swear that I'm moving out of there." They both laughted sarcastically.

"Don't worry, Lyds," Stiles tried to comfort her. "it's probably nothing. I personally think that you felt just some old lady who has cancer, or something like..." he stopped talking when he noticed the look on her face. "Okay, I am shutting up right now."

Lydia just smiled, thanked him and went back to the jeep.

Meanwhile Stiles sighted and gave one last glance back to the crowd. His heart skipped a beat as he grabbed Lydia's arm.

"What is it now?" She turned back to him.

"L - Lydia, did you see that?" He pointed to something in the crowd with his finger.

"See what?" she asked staring hard at the crowd.

"Matt's sly face! I saw Matt!" he yelled and tried to run towards the crowd.

But Lydia stopped him and looked straight into his brown eyes.

''Matt? You mean the kanima-controller Matt?" she asked him.

''Yeah, the evil sly snake Matt," answered Stiles impatiently.

"Stiles, Matt is dead," she said as if he was crazy.

"Yeah, I know," he replied, "but I swear that I saw him! In the crowd, right there!" He pointed at the same place as he did the first time.

,,Gerard held his head underwater until he drowned, Stiles," she was looking at him with love suppressed for so long. "There is no way that he survived that."

"Yeah, I know," he sighted. "Let's just go back to the jeep."

Just before he got into the jeep, his eyes quickly searched for the spot where he had seen Matt. But when he didn't see him there anymore, he just shook his head and got into the jeep.
