Lydia was sitting in her room peacefully, removing her makeup, when Malia stormed in, breathless.

"Hi Lydia. You, me, Nemeton, in the woods. Now!"

Lydia didn't even look at her, she just continued with her activity.

"And why is that?" she asked her, not exactly paying attention to what she said.

And so Malia told her about everything that happened in the woods with Parrish.

"So that's why I think that you as a banshee could figure out something," she finished.

"I don't think it's that important," she said, finally being done with her makeup and turning at her supernatural friend.

"Well you didn't smell it. Trust me, there's something happening with that cut out tree and I don't think we should ignore it."

Lydia rolled her eyes and turned back to the mirror and her makeup supplies.

"Okay, I'll come with you."

"Great, awesome! Let's go," Malia turned to the door ready to leave to the woods, but Lydia stopped her.

"Not while I look like this." And with that, she started putting the makeup on all over again.

"Oh come on!" shouted Malia, but it was pointless. She had to wait until her banshee friend finishes her makeup.

"Off to the woods!" Lydia smiled as she applied her lipgloss and was finally ready to go.

They entered the woods and Malia found Nemeton by the smell she had memorised.

"Okay, now what?" Lydia asked.

"I don't know, you're the banshee here," Malia shrugged, "do some bansheeing."

The ginger friend rolled her eyes. She can't be serious. She can't just turn this on and off when she needs it! The banshee comes out, when it wants to, not when they need it. And that's why she hated being one so much.

She came to the Nemeton and placed her hand on its surface. Nothing. She closed her eyes, trying to concentrate more, but still, nothing happened.

"It's not working," she sighted.

"Then try harder!" Malia exclaimed.

"It's not that easy!" Lydia argued back, "the banshee is on her holidays right now."

They both fell silent, trying to figure out what the hell they should do.

"Okay let's try this," said Lydia after a while, took off her necklace and gave it to Malia.

"What am I supposed to do with this?"

"We're gonna try to hypnotise me," Lydia stated, determined.

And so they did. Lydia had lots of nerves, since Malia clearly didn't understand what hypnotising should have looked like. It took them a lot of time just to make her understand what's she supposed to do. But even after countless amount of tries, they couldn't succeed.

"It's pointless," Malia wailed.

Lydia felt sorry for her. After all, she wanted nothing else but to help Scott while he was resting and healing. It must've been disappointing to find out that her work here had no results.

She slowly walked to her and put her arm on her shoulder.

"It's probably nothing. Come on, Malia. It's late, we should get some sleep."

She nodded and allowed her to help her stand up. When they turned around to walk away, Lydia suddenly froze.

"What? What is it?" asked Malia, excited. Maybe this little research will have some results after all.

Lydia looked behind, shocked and kinda scared.

"I-I just..." she spluttered, "I thought I've heard Allison's voice calling out my name."

Malia sighted. No results it is.

"You're right. Some of us really need that sleep."

They both laughed and left the woods.
