She was alone, alone waiting for her sister awake, alone with only the loud beeping of a heartbeat, alone as her parents walked out saying they were busy. Bellatrix knew they weren't, but she nodded not trusting  her voice as she watched her parents apparated back home leaving their two daughters alone.

Even though countless days passed by, it all felt like a long day that doesn't look like it's ending anytime soon.

Of course there were times Bellatrix went home, but the house was unwelcoming and cold. Not even the lit fireplaces could warm the icy atmosphere, her parents locked themselves away from the world as they focused on their work.

Quiet, and eary, was something she wasn't used to. Even when her parents were barely around, she had her sisters, but Andromeda was disowned and Narcissa lies in hospital.

Alone, and trapped inside those dull and dark walls. Knowing her fate was sealed long ago, for those eldest kids in the noble house of black who weren't disowned all had the same path.

She walked the same corridors repeatedly, and watched as the people in the paintings disappear and reappear into another painting.

The memories of happiness seemed to have been another lifetime, and the mere moments of joy never seem to last long.

Even with Aurelia, the only times they get to be themselves is when they're alone. Even at Hogwarts, that always seems to be rather difficult.

Hogwarts was filled with students who looked at her if she was a disease, who treated her as if she was a house-elf. She could never be herself, everywhere she went there was someone looking down at her. They judged her for her surname, for her family's choices because they couldn't confront her parents; no one could, not even Bellatrix's grandfather.

Her friends were from noble blood-purist families, they were untrustworthy and had no loyalty for nobody. The first lesson her parents ever taught her was to never trust anyone but herself, her own blood would betray her to save their own skin. When it comes to power, you can't trust nobody, not even your closest friends.

Bellatrix was truly alone, and not even the loud noises that surrounded her could save her from her thoughts. Her hands layed still in her lap, as her eyes stared down at Narcissa's face. As she was drowning in her thoughts, she never noticed Narcissa's eyes fluttering open.

Only her sister's whisper brought her back to harsh reality.

"Bellatrix..." Narcissa slurred, ignoring her painful headache. She watched her sister run out of the curtain closed quarters, and call for a nurse.

The last thing she saw was a nurse and her sister by her bed, worried expressions on their faces, as Narcissa let sleep wash over her once again.
