Jimins pov

I open my eyes and see jungkook gripping my hand tightly and I feel his grip slowly loosening.

My eyes widen and I then look around feeling water fill my lungs slowly. I then see some light from the bottom of the box, I then move in the box and kick the bottom of the box.

Jungkook opens his eyes and looks at me, I point to where I'm kicking and he weakly nods, we both then kick the bottom of the box trying to get out

The bottom falls and the water drains out of the box, we both gasp for air and I then tip the box over so we're out of the box. We both cough violently

Jungkook falls to the ground and coughs "h-h-hyung I smell smoke!" my eyes widen and I look around "h-he set the kitchen on fire...we need to get out!" he coughs "I-I can't move hyung!"

I turn to him and see his foot stuck in a chain attached to the bottom of the box. I cough a little and then move and he winces a little when I pull at the handcuffs a little

I then try and get his foot out the chain.

The door breaks down and taehyung and yoongi rush in "jimin!!! Jungkook!!" I see Jungkooks eyes closing, I gasp "get his foot out!!" yoongi nods and rushes to the chain. Taehyung puts an oxygen mask on jungkook "hey breath for me jungkook! Keep your eyes open!"

Yoongi nods "his foot is out! Get them out of here!!" taehyung huffs "they're handcuffed again!!!" I nod "I'm fine! Just get him out!" I lift jungkook up bridal style and hold the mask on him and then we get out the house.

I collapse by the ambulance coughing, I keep jungkook in my arms and keep the mask on him, he coughs a little and then pushes the mask away "I-I'm okay" he sits up and then puts the mask on me. I take a few deep breaths

A paramedic rushes to us and checks us both over. I keep my eyes on jungkook "are you okay?" he nods "I'm fine jimin" we both then look at the handcuffs and huff "well this isn't unfamiliar..." we both laugh a little

Jungkook then coughs again gripping his chest. My eyes widen and the paramedic checks him over again "are you okay Jeon?" jungkook nods "I've just got a pain in my chest...its just a little pain that's all"

The paramedic nods "both of your chests will hurt for a little, you've taken in a lot of water and smoke... But you are both okay" namjoon walks over to us and jungkook leans his head on my shoulder

Namjoon crouches down "you two are to take at least two weeks off work, do you understand me?" we both nod and he unlocks the handcuffs. Jungkook whimpers a little "I-I want to go home" I nod and then stand up picking him up bridal style.

I then hand namjoon my bodycam "everything is on there..." he nods.

I carry jungkook to jin "can you-" he nods "climb in, don't worry about the seatbelts..." i climb in the back of Jins car and hold jungkook in my arms, jin climbs in and starts to drive. Jungkook sighs "w-why is it always us"

I kiss his head "I don't know baby.... I-I don't know...but I'm taking you on a date tonight and we will forget about all of this, Ben will be caught and put into prison...i promise you" he snuggles up to me and nods "o-okay...where will we go?"

Jin joins the conversation "why don't you go to the beach? Wasn't that where your first date was?" jungkook nods and smiles a little. I glance at his hand and see the ring on his finger

I smile and nod "yeah...I'll take you to the beach and then we'll watch the sun go down and forget all about this" he nods a little and hides his face in the crook of my neck. I place my hands on his waist

I just hope I can make him smile tonight...
Today was a fucking shit day...
