Yami Sukehiro P.O.V.
Silently I walk through the base in the middle of the night to my bedroom. I close the door behind me, and as I'm opening the belt that contains my katana and grimoire pouch, I glance over at my bed. Somehow I'm surprised to see it's empty. For a moment I just stare at it. As soon as I realize I don't like the feeling, I turn around and leave the room. Silently I walk over to Leonora's room and walk in. Silently I take off my belts and clothes, leave it on the chair and get to her bed. Before I even crawl in I can smell her scent. I crawl into her bed and lie down beside her. I glide my arm underneath her pillow so her head rests on my arm while I glide my other arm around her waist, resting my hand on her stomach. "Okaerinasai" Leonora mumbles sleepily. "Tadaima" I mumble. Leonora shivers slightly. "You're cold" she mumbles. "Why don't you come and warm me up" I say in return. She turns around and crawls closely against me as she wraps her arms around me. As she does so I can feel her body temperature rise. Fire magic sure can be handy. "Why did you come to my room?" She whispers, pressing her lips against my chest. "I didn't want to sleep alone. Do you want me to go?" I ask. "No" Leonora places her hands on my face and pulls it down so she can press her lips against mine. She wraps her arms around my neck, pressing her breasts against my chest. I wrap my arms around her waist to keep her close. "Why did you have to come to my home? You've ruined me" she whispers against my lips. "How so?" I ask. "You made it so I can't have any other man" she says, looking me dead in the eyes. "Have you tried?" I ask amused. "I have, but I couldn't. And I don't want to" she ways. I press my lips onto hers. "Good" I whisper. "Hmm quite selfish aren't you?" She asks. "Very much" I answer.
I stroke the tears from Leonora's cheeks but they keep on coming. "Don't cry. It's going to be okay" I say softly, rubbing her back with the other hand. "I don't know what to do" Leonora whispers, placing her hands on her face. "Just come with me to the capital tomorrow, let Owen check up on you. He can discuss the options with you." I say. Leonora lowers her hands just slightly to look at me. "Whatever you decide, I'm here" I say. But this seems to upset her even more so I stay silent, rubbing her back and stroking her hair until she slowly starts to calm down. "I suddenly understand what you were saying last night...and why you went to your own room instead of mine" I say. Leonora looks at me. "You weren't even at home" she says. "When has that ever stopped you?" I ask. Leonora shrugs. "I'm not ready" she sighs. "When is anyone, ever?" I ask. "What do you want?" She asks, plucking at her jeans. "Hmm" I say, purposely staying silent for a while. "Either way is fine with me" I say, lifting her chin with my fingertips. "As long as you're absolutely sure that it's what you want, as long as it brings you happiness." I say. "I'll think about it" Leonora says. "Mmhmm you do that" I say softly. When she looks up at me I kiss her. She looks at me surprised. "What's with that look? You thought I'd abandon you?" I ask annoyed. "I don't know" Leonora says. "Do I look like someone that abandons someone? Have you seen this squad?" I ask, getting even more annoyed. "You never heard me say that did you?" Leonora asks annoyed as well. "Your face said enough" I scoff and stand up from her bed. Leonora grabs my hand so I can't walk away. She pulls me back and sighing I sit back down. "Listen, I get you've got a lot going on right now. But don't take it out on me. Don't get surprised by shit I usually do" I say. "I'm sorry" Leonora says. "Don't worry about it" I say and kiss her again, this time she kisses back. I stand up. "I'm gonna go take a dump" I say before leaving the room.
"So that's how it is.." Julius says, crossing his arms. "Hmm" I say nodding. "It makes me happy though" Julius grins. "Don't get too excited. Nothing is certain yet. She's with Owen now" I say. "Everything alright?" Julius asks. "It's troubling her more than it it troubling me" I say shrugging. "That's only logical. It could destroy her entire career. Not to forget, she's a Vermillion. They are a very powerful and influential family. It's no wonder she's scared." Julius says. "I never said I didn't understand. Especially how beat up she was last time" I say. Julius tilts his head. "What do you mean?" He asks. "Leonora ran into her Oyaji on a mission, and he beat her almost to pulp because she was wearing a black bulls robe" I say. "I see. Be careful about this. Both of you" Julius says. He leans back in his chair as a smile appears on his lips again. "Ah but I can't help but think about what wonderful magic it could have" he says. "Stop it" I say annoyed. Julius chuckles as he stands up. "Walk with me" he says, as he walks toward the door of his office. I follow him. As we leave his office we see Leonora leaning against the wall across from it with her arms crossed. She's paler than usual. "Are you alright?" Julius asks. "I am" she says. "What did Owen say?" I ask. She glances at Julius and realizes he already knows. She shoots daggers at me with her eyes and then sighs. "It probably won't last, as it's not correctly nestled into my womb" she says and I immediately understand her paleness. "I guess we'll find out in the next few weeks" she says shrugging. "I see" I say, placing a cigarette between my lips and lighting it. "I'm sorry to hear that" Julius says. Leonora shrugs again. "Walk with me" he says again and turns. She too starts to follow him. Leonora stops walking when a woman, obviously a sibling of Leonora appears before us, wearing a crimson lions robe. Before either of us can do anything a flaming lion paw has grabbed Leonora's jaw. "So it's true what Fuegoleon said" the woman says. "I guess it is. I'm sorry Mereoleona-neesama" Leonora mumbles. "You fool. You've got nothing to be sorry of" Mereoleona sighs, putting Leonora down. "You smell different" Mereoleona. "You're early, Mereoleona" Julius says smiling. "Am I?" Mereoleona asks but she's still looking up and down at Leonora. "Keep me posted Yami.." Julius says. "No way, you'll just get creepy about it" I say dryly. Julius smiles amused. "This way Mereoleona" He says. "Good to see you back, Leonora. We'll talk soon" Mereoleona says before she walks with Julius. "Your sister is scary..." I say. "Tell me about it" Leonora sighs.
