Kurt

Have you ever heard the stories about vampires, werewolves and demons and how they were all bad and blood sucking? Well in my world, they're true. Yup, every last one of those monsters are real and my job is to kill every single one of them or at least keep them from attacking mundanes or humans as we shadowhunters call you. Everything was pretty normal until night came and I had to go on patrol. I walked on the streets of New York with swift steps, my head darting left and right to make sure that no weird stuff was going on and by weird stuff I mean break ins etc but no one seems to notice it. Then I heard it or rather felt it, there was a loud crack that sounded from an alley nearby and as usual no one looked or paid attention so I knew that it was supernatural related.

I ran to the alley, my seraph sword glowing and in my hand as I slowly stepped close ready to fight. Two years ago when I found out that I was a shadowhunter, I would have laughed until I cried or thought that Ashton Kutcher was pranking me but it was no joke. Two years ago I would've been weak enough to even pick up a sword, let alone swing it but yet here I am with no backup about to face off on a demon.

"Hello?" I called out in my high voice. I looked around wondering where the thing came from but as I got closer I saw that it wasnt a demon but a boy my age with gorgeous gelled jet black hair, laying on his back with his eyes closed. The mark on his arm showed that he was an angel but what was he doing down here? I put my sword back on my hip and proceeded to shake the boy.

" Come on, please dont be dead." I muttered. Obviously, he wasnt because I found a pulse so I just lifted him onto my shoulders and made my way back to the Institute where all the others were. To mundanes, it's just some old historic landmark but in a shadowhunter's eyes, it's a giant building that we call home.

I walked into the Institute and greeted my friends with the words "I found a fallen angel."

Rachel walked up to me with a confused look as I placed the still not awoken boy on the couch, removing his shoes and covered him up. Funny, there is something about him that makes him beautiful. Maybe it's how graceful his face looks when he's reasting or maybe it's something else. I'm almost drawn to him. Focus kurt.

"Where did you find him?"

"I was out patrolling and I heard this crack coming from an alley but no mundane noticed it so I figured it was something supernatural and it was. I thought it was a demon but it was actually him and this mark on his arm shows that he's an angel. Why he's down here, I have no idea. He was like this when I found him."

Rachel finished examining him and stood up, looking at me. "He's not injured but his wings have been cut. Something must've happened to him but we won't find out until he wakes."

"Do you know when?" I asked.

"No. But it's late so we should get some rest. Santana and Mercedes should be back by now."

"Has there been any news? Are they really coming?"

"Finn thinks so and Hunter just can't stop talking about it. You know how much he looks up to them both."

"I can't believe they're coming either. Maybe the Clave thinks we need some more help but I think that we are fine with the numbers we have."

"It wasn't your fault Kurt. You didnt know that it would happen." Rachel said, putting a hand on my shoulder. I knew what she was talking about. I shrugged her hand off and cleared my throat.

"I'm fine. I'm uh I'm going to go to bed. Night Rach."

"Night Kurt."

I gave her a quick hug before walking up to my room and closed the door behind me, shedding my leather jacket off and hanging it up in my closet. I took off my seraph sword and placed it by my bed then moved to go to the bathroom to get ready for bed. Once I laid down, I began to think about the boy I found and how he seemed so familiar yet he entranced me in some type of way. Who is he?
