"Hold on, he said he was carrying a tree?!" Terence exclaimed. "Yes, I told you I heard him while I was getting treated for my cold!" Marina said. Apparently when Professor Lockhart broke his pinkie he told Madame Pomfrey he tripped over a rock while carrying a tree in the Forbidden Forest. My friends and I were headed to the Great Hall for breakfast. "Pathetic, isn't he? If it were me, I simply wouldn't try and break my finger in the first place!" said Amelia. "Good point. He's dumber than Longbottom!" said Draco, followed by an elbow in the rib from me.
"Hi, Draco!" I heard someone from the Gryffindor table say. I looked over to see Benjamin, the boy Draco was with the other day. Draco smiled and waved at him. "Draco you're making friends! I'm so proud!" I exclaimed. "Hey, Y/n, come sit!" I looked to see that Ginny was inviting me to sit in between her and Hermione. I smiled and nodded. "I'm really proud, Draco," I told him before kissing his cheek and going to sit with the girls.
"Draco made friends with Benjamin!" I said proudly to the girls. "Oh, that's good!" said Hermione. "If you don't mind me asking," Ron's voice surprised me, since I thought only the girls wanted to be friends with me. "Why are you always scolding him for what he says?" he finished. "Well, his father planted it in Draco's head to be a pure-blood-supremacist and a horrible snob. But now that he's been sent to Azkaban, Draco's mum asked me to help her get rid of Draco's rude ways," I explained. "Wait, why was he sent to Azkaban?" asked Fred. "He was a death eater," I told him. "Makes sense, I mean pure-blood supremacy nonsense and such, of course he'd be a death eater. Why wouldn't he be?" George said. I was still surprised that the boys were interested in talking to me. "Well, you've got to agree, he's making progress," Fred said while looking at me, indicating he was trying to compliment me. "Oh, thanks!" I blushed. "Malfoy's only making progress because he knows Y/l/n will slap the hell out of him if he doesn't," Potter hissed. "Shut it, Harry," Ginny warned. I know she's a first year, but she's quite scary. Potter rolled his eyes.
"So, do you like explosives?" asked the same dark-skinned boy that was sitting with them at the picnic table. "Lee Jordan, fourth year," he said, putting his hand out for me to shake. I took it and said, "Y/n Y/l/n, third year, and yes I do like explosives," "Cool! Would you like an Exploding Bon-Bon?" Lee asked, handing me a box of my favorite chocolates. "Ooh, yes, they're my favorite!" I said, taking a chocolate. "I like her!" Lee told the twins.

The day went by normally, or so I thought. After dinner, me and the rest of the Slytherins were on our way back to the common room. In a corridor, we saw Hermione, Ron and Potter staring at the creepiest thing I've seen so far. Mrs. Norris was either petrified or dead, I couldn't tell, and hung by her tail on the wall. And there was a message written in red ink. "It's written in blood!" whispered Annabelle. "Blood?!" Amelia asked. "Enemies of the heir beware?" Draco read the message loudly, in an unimpressed tone. Then he looked at the Gryffindors and sneered, "You'll be next, mudbloods," "right, that's it," I said. I turned to Draco and punched him. But I tried my best to be as gentle as possible. It still hurt him, though. A LOT. There were a few 'ouch'es, 'oh's and gasps from the students watching us. The teachers came and confirmed that the cat was just petrified, and sent us all to our dormitories.
"You think she has a husband?" Anabelle asked. "Who are you talking about?" Amelia questioned. "Mrs. Norris, of course! I mean, she's Mrs. Norris, not Ms. Norris," Anabelle said. "Well, maybe. Who knows? One thing's for sure though: that cat has a better love life than Y/n," Daphne teased. It's true. I never dated anyone or even had a crush. "Hey!" I giggled.

Today, Draco had a Quidditch match against Gryffindor. It was going pretty well until someone decided to tamper with a bludger and make it chase Potter. Unfortunately, both Draco and Potter were injured, but Potter caught the snitch. I went to check on Draco in the hospital wing, and luckily he was fine. I decided to check on Potter as well since he's friends with Hermione and Ginny.
"Hey, er, are you feeling any better?" I asked him. "Why are you here?" he asked rudely. "I just wanted to check on you,"
"Why don't you go to your snobby friend Malfoy and check on him instead?" "First of all, don't call him that, second of all, I already did. He's fine," "Oh well good for him, can you go now? Slytherins aren't welcome near my bed, you'll probably-" He was interrupted. "Shut it, Potter," Fred hissed. Potter rolled his eyes. "Come on, Y/n," he gestured for me to follow him.
"Thanks," I said. "It's fine, Harry never really liked Slytherins," he told me. "Well that's what I don't understand. Not all Slytherins are the same," "I agree, but there's a reason Harry isn't a Ravenclaw, you know," we both giggled. We talked for a while, until I had to go to the library to do homework with Amelia. Fred walked me there, and I have to admit, he's a lot of fun. "Right, so I'll see you later, then?" he asked once we arrived. "Okay, bye!" I said, going to find Amelia.
At dinner, I was called over to the Gryffindor table again, but this time by Fred. Lee, Ron and the twins seemed interested in being my friends. I'm quite happy about that. Draco also sat at the Gryffindor table, but with Benjamin. Man, he's making a ton of progress! "So, do you like narrating random parts of the day?" Asked Lee. His questions are pretty weird, but I like weird. "Umm, I don't think so..." I said. "Do you like to observe things to unnecessary extents?" "I-what?" "Have you ever eaten a dungbomb?" "I don't believe those are edible," "Do you-" "Alright, Lee, you've bombarded the poor girl with your silly questions, leave her be!" Fred interrupted. "No it's fine, really. I don't mind," I reassured. "See, I told you she's awesome!" Lee exclaimed. Honestly, they were awesome too.
