"Colin was petrified?!" I exclaimed. I was with my friends in the courtyard, apparently Colin was found petrified last night, just like Mrs. Norris. "Yes, I tried asking for details but not even McGonnagall would say anything," Marina explained. She was always in the hospital wing, since she keeps getting sick or hurt for some reason. "Maybe it's some sort of sick joke?" Amelia said. "I doubt it. Bet there's some kind of scout in the castle, just like last year," Lana interpreted. "But who would want to send a scout into Hogwarts? You-know-who's dead, Potter made sure of it last year, and this school is one of the safest places in the wizarding world!" Lyra was always the most logical, sometimes I wonder how she's not a Ravenclaw.

"You're right, but enough of that, we still haven't found out the important stuff yet!" Anabelle sighed. "And what is said important stuff?" I questioned. "Who Mrs.Norris's husband is! This is a proper mystery, people!" "Anabelle, maybe her husband is dead! But if you really want to know, ask Mr. Filch!" Daphne yelled, exasperated. "Ok, then! Lucas, will you come with me?" Anabelle obviously likes Lucas, but never admitted it. It's clear that Lucas has a thing for her as well. "Oh, sure!" Lucas got up and went with Anabelle to ask Mr. Filch about his cat's husband. "Man, Y/n, your friends are weird," Draco commented. "Speak for yourself! You don't have friends, you have goons!" I yelled, while Draco rolled his eyes.

Fred's POV

"Wait, isn't Creevey a friend of Y/n? Oh no, she must be worried! I'll go check on her," I wanted to make sure Y/n was ok after finding out that her friend has been petrified. I don't know why I care about her so much, but I do.

I saw two of her friends on their way to Filch's office, saying something about Mrs. Norris's husband. I went up to them and asked where she was, they told me to go to the courtyard, so I did.

I saw her sitting out with her other friends and wondered if I should go up to her. I decided that I should, since her friends might not mind.

"Y/n!" I called. "Oh, hi Fred," she smiled sweetly. "How did you know I'm Fred ?" "George has a mole on his neck and you have a deeper voice, I can also tell the difference between people by their eyes. No idea how, but I'm not complaining," she explained. "Cool! Er, I just wanted to ask if you were ok. You know, since Creevey was petrified and all," "Oh, I'm fine. A bit worried about him, but I'm sure Madame Pomfrey will find a cure. Thanks for asking, though," "No problem," I said, smiling before I left.

I was in the great hall with my friends eating lunch. "Is it just me, or is she, like, really pretty?" "Who?" George asked. "Y/n," I replied. "Umm, yeah, she's nice, I guess. Hold on, do you-" "No! No it's not like that I just noticed she looks pretty, nothing more," I defended. "Ok then," George didn't seem to believe me, but I didn't care. "She's really cool! You think she wants to be friends?" Lee wondered. "I hope so. Let's see if she wants to sit with us," George said. "Well, it won't be too hard to talk to her, she's friends with Hermione and Ginny," I kept looking at the entrance to the Great Hall, waiting to see if Y/n comes in. "Look, there she is!" Lee pointed out.

"Hey, guys!" she said, sitting in between Hermione and Ginny. "Y/n!" Lee cheered. He was very excited to finally have someone as weird as him. "Lee, I found out that some books have freckles!" she said. "Wha-" George was about to say something but was interrupted by my elbow to his rib. "Really?! You have to show me later!" Lee had discovered Y/n's weird side by asking her all those questions, and honestly, she's pretty cool.

"Ugh," I heard Harry say. "Y/n, hi!" Ron greeted her happily. "Ron, let's sit with Seamus and Dean," Harry commanded, while glaring at Y/n. "Why? I want to sit with Y/n," Ron pouted. It's quite obvious we all love her, I mean, she's awesome! "Come on, Ron!" Harry was getting impatient. "Fine," I really don't know why Ron listens to all of Harry's commands, but then again, he's not the most clever.

"Hey Y/n, how are things going with Malfoy?" Hermione asked. "Well, he hasn't been too bad, he's improving quite a bit actually,"

Y/n's POV

I had a lot of fun at lunch today. It made me almost forget that Colin is petrified in the hospital wing. After lunch, I went to visit him with Luna and Ginny. Luna brought some nice flowers to put by his bed as well.

Hermione told me that the reason behind these attacks is that the 'Chamber of Secrets' has been opened again. "Again? So, it's happened before? When? Who opened it?" "We don't know anything more unfortunately," said Hermione.

Today, Lockhart decided to start a dueling club, where he teaches us how to duel. Professor Snape was helping him too. Lockhart made Potter and Draco duel for the first round, and instead of disarming charms, they started throwing hexes at each other. Draco performed Serpensortia, which conjured a snake. Lockhart tried to get rid of it, but only made it angrier. It started making its way to a Hufflepuff boy. Potter started to speak Parseltongue, and it honestly looked like he was egging the snake on. But as The Boy Who Lived, I highly doubt he would want to hurt a boy for no good reason.

"He's a Parselmouth!" whispered Lyra. "What do you think he's saying?" Amelia wondered. "Bet he's trying to get the snake to rip the boy's face off, maybe Potter wants to be the most handsome guy at Hogwarts," Sophia said. "Don't be ridiculous, he's clearly trying to convince the snake to leave the boy alone!" I argued. "That makes sense," Lyra agreed. Professor Snape got rid of the snake, and everyone was shocked at what Potter did.

Ever since the Parselmouth incident, everyone thought Potter was the heir of Slytherin. Me and most of my friends don't, though. I trust Potter, even if he doesn't like me that much.

One day, I was in the courtyard with Amelia, when we heard my name mentioned in a conversation between Johnson and another girl. "Y/l/n?" the girl asked. "Yes! I mean think about it. She's a Slytherin, she's pretending to be nice, she's trying to befriend the Muggle-borns so she can seem innocent. It's obvious! Y/l/n is the heir of Slytherin!" explained Johnson. "Well we can't prove it, can we? She's really sweet, Angelina! I've even thought of befriending her myself!" "No, Alicia! Don't you dare even respect that two-color-eyed freak!" I felt hurt. Johnson's words shouldn't affect me, but they did. Amelia sensed this and looked at me, took my hand and squeezed it reassuringly. "Look, I bet you anything Baker knows. She's always with Y/l/n, they're best friends. If we could just get her to crack and tell us, there's our proof. She's not that bright, so we can easily trick her," "Listen I really couldn't care less. I like Y/l/n, she seems nice! But I can't stop you, so go ahead," Ok, now I'm mad. How dare she talk about me and Amelia like that?! Next time I see that little cockroach, we're gonna have problems.
