Today at breakfast, Fred didn't sit next to me like he usually does. I noticed his eyes stuck on the window. My mother seemed to notice, too. "Expecting a letter, Fred?" She asked him. "Er, something like that," My mother looked at me. I haven't told her what happened yet. "Did Terence reply to your letter yet, Y/n?" Ginny nudged me with her elbow. I told both the girls how to act last night. "No, not yet," I answered. Hermione giggled. My mother was listening to the conversation, and I think she got part of it. "Well, you better try not to lose your heads since the post is here," she told the three of us. We looked at the window and, sure enough, Errol was right there.

"I'll get it," Fred got up, opened the window, took the letters, and started looking through them. "This one's for Y/n," he handed me a letter. I looked at it and, perfectly, it was from Terence. Ginny was peering over my shoulder, and when she saw who it was from she squealed excitedly. "Bloody hell, Ginny!" Ron exclaimed, covering his ears. "This one's for Ginny," Fred handed her a letter. "It's from Collin!" she cheered, reading the back of the envelope. Now it was my turn to squeal. "Why do girls make such horrible sounds?" Ron mumbled. "Be quiet and eat your pancakes, Ronald," Hermione threatened. "Right, sorry," he muttered fearfully.

"Who's yours from, Y/n?" My mom asked after reading the name. She wanted me to say who it was from in front of Fred. "It's from Terence," I answered. "Oh, Terence Higgs? I always loved that boy. He's very respectful, never plays with anyone's feelings," I knew all four of us wanted to burst into laughter at what my mom was saying, especially after Fred grumbled, "He's not all that, in my opinion. I mean, he can be quite rude," I rolled my eyes. I knew he was jealous. I don't like playing with people like this, but I knew I would stop once he was treating me right again.

The girls and I went upstairs to Ginny's room. "Mrs. Y/l/n is the best," Hermione smiled. "Ok, let's read the letter Collin sent," Ginny opened the letter excitedly and read it out loud. "Hey Gin, how are you? My brother Dennis is starting Hogwarts this year, so I'm really excited. How is everyone? Hope they're doing good. Anyway, I can't wait to see you again. I really miss your smile. See you soon!" "He said he misses your smile! He likes you! It's so bloody obvious!" I cheered. "Really?!" "Yes!"

After listening to Ginny rant about how sweet Collin is, I told my mom about Harry telling Fred to play hard to get, and how I was pretending to like Terence so he can stop. "THAT LITTLE COCKROACH! WHERE IS HE? WHERE'S HARRY?!" "Mum, Mum. Calm down. It's ok, Ginny beat him up anyway," "Oh I know. Your father and I were home. I love that girl. You should learn from her,"

"So, umm, Y/n, what did Higgs say?" Fred asked me. "Excuse me?" "You got a letter from Terence Higgs this morning, didn't you? What did it say?" "Like it's your business. We still haven't talked about the other night, you know," "Well I don't think you'd care. You've got Higgs now, haven't you?" "Fred, nothing is going on between me and Terence. You're the one trying to play hard to get. I heard you and Potter the other morning," "Wait, no, you don't understand-" "I already understand, Weasley. You think the only way to get a girl is to play with her mind. Well, you're wrong," "No, listen, I'm sorry. I promise it won't happen again," I rolled my eyes and left. This is exactly going to plan!

Later that day, I was sitting on the couch reading when Fred came and sat next to me."Hi," he greeted. I ignored him. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have tried to play with you like that," he started. "Tell me something I don't know," I scoffed. "I promise I'll try my best not to do something stupid again," "Why try? Why not actually do it?" "We both know I'll probably do something stupid again at some point. I promise I'll try to prevent it," honestly, I was impressed that he acknowledged the fact that he might do something stupid. "Please?" He pleaded. "Well..." I thought for a bit. "Fine then," "Thank you," he hugged me.

"We still haven't talked about last night," I reminded him. "Yes, right, we should really do it again sometime," "Fred, I'm serious," "So am I. But the next time we do it should be somewhere more private. And we won't be friends," "Why wouldn't we be friends?" "Because you're my girlfriend," "Since when was I-" "Since now. If you want to, that is," "I'd love to," "Alright then," after saying that, he immediately pressed his lips onto mine. This was a more passionate kiss. We pulled away after a little while. "August! I got a new video to show their children!" I heard Mum say from behind us. We both turned to look at her. "Wonderful! And I'm still recording! Maybe something else will happen!" My dad cheered.

"Mum! Dad! Again?" "Sorry, sorry. We'll leave you be now," my mom apologized. I heard her whisper, "let's check on them in a few minutes. Keep your camera ready!" "I heard that!" "Right, sorry, we're leaving now," my dad stuttered. "Yeah, we really need to find somewhere more private next time...." Fred mumbled.
