That's right, the girl on the counter held something that somehow connected her to Mikoto's son. And maybe that's why Mikoto can't help but look at her way. And that blond boy with whisker marks on his cheeks, it almost made Mikoto tear up on how much his smile resembled someone she missed dearly.
It was an odd group, a colorful jumbled group of friends; the three of them made. Her youngest, one she constantly worries about made friends with the weirdest kids. Mikoto caught herself giving a sigh of relief when she found out that the boy actually talked about something that's relatively other than his brother.
Sasuke worshiped his brother to the point that he tries to copy everything his older brother does. Mikoto is unsure if it is bred from the constant pressure her husband puts in the youngest. But it worries her that Sasuke grew up from the footsteps of the Uchiha prodigy, and was steered away from the things normal kids would do.
And don't even start about Itachi, Mikoto new that the first time Itachi saw a butterfly and the first thing he ask was how it worked. She knew that the boy was different. She knew how her son worked, she also knew about how he ripped the wings of the butterfly and how he figured out how it flew.
So yes, Mikoto worried.
And she also worried about the pink haired girl that resembled so much about her son. The boys didn't seem like they were lying, her knew that without a sharingan.
"Say Sakura-chan which clan do you belong to?" Mikoto gave her a plate and struck a question. She noticed how Sakura gave her a look before answering.
"Haruno clan, Uchiha-san."
Haruno clan....this made Mikoto pause for a bit. It didn't ring any bells.
"I...I don't think I've heard of that clan before. What kind of jutsu does your clan practice?" Mikoto didn't mean it to be rude, and Sakura didn't take it as an insult.
"Well the Haruno clan came from Sunagakure, My clan isn't a Shinobi clan but a civilian clan. My parents migrated from suna and settled here, they were merchants, but for some time they were a Shinobi before having me." Sakura recalled and summarized. "I'm an orphan though, and I live alone. So I don't know much about my mother's side since they haven't been around to tell me about it."
Mikoto gave a start when she heard that the girl was an orphan. An orphan from a civilian background with such capabilities.... Mikoto couldn't help but open her mouth. "Say Sakura-chan, what do think about the Uchiha clan?" The girl was a prodigy more or less, and it's ok if she isn't.
This caught the two boys attention, who stopped their bickering and started to listen what they were saying.
"The Uchiha clan is great and noble, and a important part of Kunohagakure. They manage the security and protection of the civilian part of the village, and produce prodigies that help the village." Sakura stopped for a bit to slap Sasuke who was smirking to the side and continued. "And the Uchiha clan is famous because of their superior Dojustsu, and their agility and speed."
Mikoto smirked at the side when she heard about Sakura's answer. "If I were to say that the Uchiha clan is willing to adopt and support till adulthood what would your answer be?" Mikoto knew what she was doing but she didn't care, it was such a good opportunity to pass.
