A few months later, Jack's fit in well with the team and was in her office doing paperwork when Gibbs walked in. "Hey," She said, standing up. "What are you up to exactly?," he asked. "Excuse me?," She asked, confused. "Vance wants you to make sure the team's okay? Yeah, okay good. I got that," he said. "Yeah, so . What don't you get?," She asked "Why are you asking about me?," he asked. "Hey listen, when I can't get you to speak for yourself, yeah, sometimes I'm forced to ask others," She said. "Talking is part of my job, Gibbs. And I like to talk," She walked past him. "And I actually would like to talk more...with you," She said, turning to him. "About what?," he asked, walking closer to her. "You know damn well," She said. "No, I don't," he said. "I really don't," She looked around. "God, it's the elephant in the room," She said. "What elephant?," he looked over at the painting behind her desk. "That? That an elephant now? I thought it was a moth," he said and Jack smiled. "It is what you want it to be," she said, looking at it. "Well, what i want it to be is gone. Been here since you got here," he said. She turned to him. "Don't change the subject. I am talking about you and....Ziva. You and Ziva," She said. "What about it? There's nothin' to say," he stated. "We both know that's not true," She said. They talked about Ziva for a few minutes and then Gibbs got a call. "Yeah?," he answered it. A few seconds later, "I'll be there," he said. He snapped his flip phone shut.
***A Few Minutes Later***
"Unless there's something else you wanted to talk about?," Gibbs asked, inching close to her. He was now towering over her. Jack got a bit intimidated. "Uh. Erm. We can talk about this later," she said. While saying those words, she looked at his lips and back to his eyes. Lips then back to his eyes. He walked out and she said, "Or not,"
