The Hogwarts Express

It was your first year at Hogwarts. Although the excitement inside of you built up as you waited to get on the train, so did your nerves.

"Please take care of your sister, Cedric" you heard your mom whisper.

"Come on Y/N we better go so we aren't late" Cedric grabbed your arm.

You both enter an empty compartment.

"Mind if I go sit with my friends Y/N?" Cedric asked, looking at the door to the compartment.

"I don't mind" you shrugged.

As Cedric left the compartment your stomach twisted and turned as you got more nervous thinking about what house you would be sorted into. You knew Cedric was in hufflepuff, but you wanted to be in ravenclaw. You were so caught up in staring out the window nervously that you didn't notice that there was someone at the door of the cabinet you were sitting in.

"Hello. Do you mind if I sit in here? all of the other ones are full" she said in a soothing voice.

As you look over you see a blonde-haired girl, with beautiful eyes. A smile approaches on your face.

"No I don't.. I don't mind at all" you gesture to the open seat in front of you.

"What's your name?"

"Y/N. Y/N Diggory."

"That's a lovely name. i'm Luna Lovegood, and i'm a first year."

"I'm a first year as well"

"I'm hoping to get into the ravenclaw house, what about you?"

"I am hoping to get in ravenclaw too" you look down at her necklace.

"It's a charm. Keeps the nargles away"

You nod, not informed on what a nargle is.

Time passes and before you know it you're nearly at Hogwarts.

"We should get our robes on now" Luna looks over at you and notices that you're still a bit nervous.
"Are you alright?"

"Yes, i'm okay."

The sorting ceremony starts and you look over at the hufflepuff table to see Cedric waving at you.

"RAVENCLAW!"

The ravenclaw table cheers as you smile and walk over to sit down. Luna sat right next to you after she was sorted into ravenclaw. Everyone started to get quiet as Dumbledoor raised his hand at the front of the Great Hall. He told the first years the rules, and then everyone was off to their classes.

2 Years Later

Luna and Y/N had became extremely close, and they made friends with five gryffindors along with that. Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Harry Potter, and the Weasley twins Fred and George.

"I have something for you Y/N" Luna smiled

"What is it?"

Luna grabbed something from her pocket and put it around your neck.

"A necklace! Thank you Luna."

"Oh but not any necklace. It's a charm necklace, like the one i have."

You smiled at her, cheeks turning red and face turning burning hot. You always got this feeling around her.
