Lucas P.O.V.

My eyes slowly opened as bright rays of sunlight hit my face. There were huge trees all around me and I was being held by my jacket by a tree branch. Lifeup! Lifeup!" Tears were streaming down my cheeks as I kept failing to help my friend. Picking Ness up, I decided to find the way out of this jungle and get him to a hospital. Rustling in the underbrush could be head a few meters behind us. I began to speed up to distance myself from the noise. What could be going on in Ness's head right now? Was he scared? Could he hear everything around him? So many questions raced in my mind, then a soft voice "Lucas, can you hear me? I can't move my body. What happened after we were sent flying? And why am I moving?" I was happy to know he could still communicate telepathically. "We crashed somewhere in a far off forest. My left arm is messed up, my entire torso is aching and I don't know where I should go to get outta here." Ness responded with "Then why are you still walking? and carrying me won't help you" I smiled. "Because I can't use my PSI to heal you, and you can't even move your own body. There's also the fact that we would both starve or freeze to death out here."  Ness's voice began to fade and his body shivered. "Ness, are you okay?" His voice was shaky and uneven "I can't do too much talking, it hurts my body. Please make sure that if anything, you make it out alive....." His voice went dead and I was alone once more. As I headed North, the sounds of the forest getting louder. I had to set Ness down and take a short rest. Man this was killing me, but I'm doing it for Ness. Two silver shapes caught my attention. Rushing to them, I noticed they were our hover-boards. I dragged them back to where I sat Ness and examined them. To my surprise, they both worked fine, just a few dents. I set Ness on mine, lying on his back, while I sat on it facing forward. I hit the red button on Ness's and turned it back into a box, placing it in my pocket. As we continued, I spotted an old shed with some room to move around. I set Ness on the wall, and I lie next to him. I placed my hand on his chest to check his heartbeat. I went cold when it began to weaken. I frantically tried to use my PSI to heal him, crying a bit more at each failed attempt. In an act of desperation, I kissed Ness. There was a faint glow of light and Ness opened his eyes. "Lucas" he said as he deepened the kiss. He moved his tongue inside my mouth and I moaned in pleasure.
