The girl walked by the lunch area as the two boys followed her.
"So where do we sit..?" Royal asked as she sighed and waited for the others to go down with their lunch trays. "Uh, we'll have to find an empty table." She said as royal nodded.
The girl went down as she skipped all the food. She went to the fruit section. Grabbing an apple and water bottle. The boys grabbed their lunches and met up at the end of the line to pay. "Is that all your going to get?" Clayton asked as she nodded. Grabbing her dollar from her bag and paying. Clayton and royal payed for their things as Winston gave them money including Phoenix but she didn't take it as she said she had money but thanked him for the gesture.
The girl grabbed her tray as she let out breath. She turned around to see half of the cafeteria looking at her. Her eyes widen as she turned around quickly. "What's wrong..?" Royal asked.
The girls nudged her head indicating backwards to everyone looking at her.
"Oh." He said as Clayton caught on and took her and royal to the corner side facing away from everyone.
"Phoenix look at me." Clayton said as she lifted her head up a little to look at him.
"I want you to listen to me, when we walk to a table over there I want you to be the bad bitch you are. I want you to show that prick that you don't give a fucking damn. You understand? I want you to live your best life and give zero fucks, that stupid boy isn't going to ruin it is he?" Clayton said as she shook her head no hesitating.
"Good, so I want you to walk in down with us to find a table and we're not going to even acknowledge that dumbass. Because we all know what he thinks is a lie. We believe you and know that you'd never do that. I want what's best for you, your like my little sister, well hopefully soon to be my little sister." He said ruffling her hair as she smiled weakly and nodded. She fixed her hair and wiped her eye before standing up straight. Royal smiled at his brother as he nodded.
"Now, this is our time to practice our model walk. Let's do this shit." Royal said grabbing Phoenix's hand turning her around to face the cafeteria. She took one last breath before looking at everyone that watched her.
"You got this." Royal hyped her up as she had found the table he sat at. Nessa smiled at her as she smiled a little too. She began to walk as royal and Clayton followed behind her. She felt like she was in a movie. She felt powerful, her weakness which was Jaden had gone away and this was her moment to let herself be her without being so in love. Which was a hard thing to do for the girl, yet she pushed it past her and kept walking. The boy that kept his head down a little still watched her walk down as they made eyes contact for a second before she looked away. She walked over to a table that was across from his table but maybe one ahead so that the boy could look at them.
She wanted to make it difficult for him.
She wanted to show him what he was missing.
They sat down as royal and Clayton laughed.
"That was bad ass, your for sure going to be a model." Royal said reaching his hand out for a high-five. She took it and giggled a little. She moved her hair with her hand as it flowed back.
The boy watched as his eyes soften watching the girl. He remembered on how she'd let him play with her hair as she didn't mind if. How he'd sing to her and play with her hair at the same time. How she'd sit on his lap straddling him with her legs and arms wrapped around him, and he'd play with her smooth light brown hair. How she'd insist on playing with his hair, and how focused she'd be to the point where she didn't even know he was staring at her.
The girl chuckled with a smile with her brothers as he missed that smile, the smile that brightened his day. The smile he missed very much. The smile that could make him fall more in love every single. The smiled he always said was 'worth a million dollars.'
Her eyes sparkled with focused as she watched royal explain his day. The eyes he'd stare into all night if possible. The green eyes that were breath taking. The eyes that were so hypnotizing, to the point where he'd agree to anything jus try her eyes.
'Fuck' He thought.
He really did fuck up.
The girl grabbed her apple taking a bit as she grew to think it was too much too eat. Setting it aside, she continued to listen to royal explain his classes. Clayton chiming in to make fun of his as it was all fun and jokes.
"He won't stop staring." Clayton sung as the girls frowned her eyebrows.
"Wha-"
"Lover boy, he won't stop looking at you, he's regretting a lot by just his face expression." Clayton smirked as royal shot his head around to see the blue eyed boy looking. Phoenix grabbed royals hair pulling his hair back to look at Clayton. "You dumb ass don't look to make it obvious." Clayton snickered as Phoenix shook her head.
"Nessa where are you going..?" Josh asked as she sat up with her lunch tray.
"To Phoenix's lunch table." She shrugged as Jaden looked at her with disgust.
"What!" She said as Jaden lifted his head up fully. "So your going to take a cheaters side..?" He said as Nessa cackled.
"For your information, she was my only friend. My only REAL friend that you had to play around with and mess up my friendship making me chose in between, and I'm not siding with a dumb fuck who won't get his head out his ass to actually think. I'm taking my best friends side who I respect more than a boy who won't believe their girlfriend over a guy who is known for lying. So yes, if that's her label now.. yes I'm going to the cheater. But to your saying her label is slut unfortunately. So bye and fuck you hossler." Her anger came out to Jaden flipping him off as she grabbed her things fast.
"Come on Nora, kio you too and ant if you don't mind. Of for fuck sake you all can come if you believe Phoenix more than Jaden." Nessa spat walking with her tray over to the table as Nora didn't hesitate to stand up. Everyone's attention went to kio as he shrugged and ant got up with kio. Grabbing their things as Jadens face dropped. His own friends, that he's known for years.. believe a girl that they met 5 months ago.
Josh awkwardly looked at Quinton as he looked away. Getting up as he threw his lunch away and walked over to the other group.
Josh was about to stand up as Jaden had enough.
"Josh sit your fucking ass down." Jaden stated as he sighed.
"Buddy, you really did fuck up." Josh sighed as the boy looked over to the group around Phoenix. Her shocked expression as Clayton laughed. Royal got excited as their were friends around.
"Royal and Clayton.. this is Nessa, Nora, kio, Anthony, and Quinton! Guys these are, uh.." the girl said remembering they don't know about her dad.
"They're my dad's boyfriends sons, hopefully soon to be brothers.. This is royal, and Clayton." I said nervously as everyone's eyes widen and Nessa squealed.
"IM SO HAPPY FOR YOUR DAD!" Nessa said as the girl weakly smiled.
"Yea tell your dads I said congrats!" "Oh my gosh I love this!" "Yes I believe in your dad!"
"When can we meet him!" The words filled the girls ears as she sighed with a smile with relief.
"Thanks guys.." She said smiling as they nodded and started to talk with Clayton and royal. Royal was so excited to talk to new people, it was unreal.
The boy watched as he groaned at his friends that left him for her. Yes he missed her but just can't bring himself to believe her.
