I followed Nessa as most eyes were on me.
Geez is it that I'm new? My style? My face?
I walked with Nessa when she stopped at a table full of boys.
"Hey guys!" Nessa said as everyone turned to look at her. Oh look dancing boy! Oh and the boys I saw when I dropped a girls slushy in her bra! Great.
"Hey beautiful" a boy said to Nessa as she smiled and went over to him.
"Oh guys this is Phoenix! She's my friend."
Nessa said as she smiled at me and a smiled at her.
"Hi I'm josh, Nessa's boyfriend" he said as I waved.
Oh shit the girl that wanted to get with him for the led lig-
"Come" Nessa said as I quickly walked over to her and sat down. All the boys didn't stop looking at me which made me look at Nessa with my eyes.
"You guys can carry on" Nessa shooed their faces away.
They all carried on with their conversation as dancing boy kept glancing over to me.
"So what else do you have for your schedule?" Nessa asked as I read over my paper I had folded into my back pocket.
"Uh math and gym. Then study hall but that's it" I said as she squealed.
"I have gym too!" She said as josh looked over to her smiling a little.
"Me too!" A boy said that was sitting with josh on his side.
"Hi sorry I'm Anthony" he said as I smiled at him.
"Phoenix, nix for short." I smiled as he did too. He seemed very quiet but also energetic at the same time.
Nessa looked over to me and raise her eyebrows.
"No no I already kinda lik-" I said being cut off by Nessa.
"WHO?" She gasped as everyone at our table looked at her.
Her eyes went widen and she lent closer to me.
"Who?" She whispered.
"His name is Kevin" I said when Nessa covered her mouth.
"No no no, he's bad don't go for him." She said scooping salad into her mouth.
"Why? He's so sweet!" I said as she shook her head no eagerly.
"No dude don't go for him. He's a player." She said.
"Look" she said turning to josh and his friends.
"Guys who knows Kevin.?" She asked everyone as their eyes went wide too.
"You mean player?" A guy said.
"You mean cheater?" Another one said.
"See!" She said looking at me.
"Why do you ask?" Dancing boy said with concern.
"Well ms skater here thinks he's ho-" I said cutting her off by covering her mouth.
"No reason." I chuckled turning her towards me.
"Nessa you can't say ANYTHING" I whispered harshly.
"Okay okay sorry!" She put her hands up in defense.
We continued to talk getting a few looks and stares at dancing boy.
"Okay I'll see you at gym." Nessa said waving as I waved back and walked to math.
No one interesting there, I did see one boy from the lunch table but he was with someone else. Boring Boring boring blah blah blah blah blah.
I got to gym and changed into a gym wear they recommended to bring and in your locker.
I got dressed and walked out to the big area where they were doing gym because it was a little cold outside. I walked out in some short that were technically biker short and a sports bra. Nessa was already there with Anthony as they were on their phones. Nessa look up at me and jaw dropped. I gave her a confused look as she came over to me. She was wearing about the same thing just maybe a little shorter shorts.
Anthony came over to us with his hands on his hips strutting over to us.
"Hi girllllssss" he said in a high girly voice.
"Hi" I said in a deep manly voice.
"Oh-" he said clearing his throat making me and Nessa laugh.
Same day
Time: 3:10pm
The time is around 3:10 and I had just gotten out of school, I said bye to Nessa and her boyfriend and started to skate back home. The whole time I had the feeling someone was following me. I took a turned down my street and still had the feeling of being followed. I grabbed my board and turned around to see.. dancing boy? I chuckled as I turned back around.
"What's up dancing boy?" I said as he looked up at me.
"Me?" He question as I stopped in my tracks.
"No the sky for fuck sake." I said in a duh tone turning around to look at him.
"Sorry I wasn't listening." He said jogging over to me as he slowed down walking beside me.
"Dancing boy!" I laughed as he grinned and looked down.
"I have a name you know?" He said as he scoffed.
"Oh really? I didn't know! My name's Phoenix. But many people call me weird girl." I said still looking forward as my house was a block down.
"Nice to meet you weird girl, I'm Jaden. Starting today people call me dancing boy." He played along.
"Oh really? I started calling you that from the first time I saw you." I said as he frowned his eyebrows.
"When did you see-" I cut him off.
"On the street, dancing. When I almost hit you with a car?" I said as he did an "oh" look.
"Why you following me.?" I ask as I break the silence.
"I wouldn't be following you if you didn't live right next to me." He said as I looked at him.
"What?" I asked confused stoping.
"Hello. I'm Jaden your new neighbor" he said smirking putting him hand out stopping in our tracks.
"Shit" I said connecting our hands to shake as he laughed. His hands were soft, and twice my size.
I let go of his hand as he did too.
"Well we're here." He said stopping as I looked up from thinking.
"Oh, Well nice talk dancing boy." I said as he put his hands in his pockets.
"Jaden by the way" he mumbled.
"I'm only messing. Bye Jaden" I said opening my door as he smiled and waved by as he walked back Over to his house still watching me get inside.
I closed the door smiling a little.
"Phoenix!" My dad said as I turned to look at him with Clara in his arms.
"We missed you!" He said hugging me. "How was school? Did you make friends?" He asked as I nodded.
It was, okay. I made a friend." I said as he smiled.
"Good! I'm really proud of you hun" he said as I smiled.
"Thanks." I said walking up stairs after saying hi to Clara.
So we all know who dancing boy is now😩✋
