Class 1A Room
"It's different when they broadcast the matches on TV after all, huh? So many people talked to me on my way here!" Mina bubbled towards us as her eyes sparkled with glee."Yeah, me too!" Eijiro happily replied pointing at himself.
I couldn't help but quiver in fear beside them. H-how could they be this excited? I almost got crushed from the swarming of people a while ago.
"What are you scared of Y/N-chan? Bakugo's with you all the time. He can handle everything for you, you know?" Denki teased beside me, nudging me a bit. I frowned at the yellow-haired male's remark. Even though I don't want to admit how useless I am alone, he's right. If it weren't for the ash blonde, I would have died from suffocation. Whenever we're in a pinch, he's always there to save the day. But that's not what I want!
I have to get stronger by myself... so that Katsuki wouldn't have to handle things for me on his own.
I sighed as I turned to look at Katsuki who was already in his seat, and he was still as nonchalant as ever. It must be nice being always at the center of attention that he isn't bothered by the commotion in his surroundings anymore. Good for him.
Our chitchats were halted when the door suddenly opened.
"Morning." Aizawa uttered lethargicly as he entered the classroom.
"Good morning!" The class then chorused as we hurried to our seats.
"We're having a special hero informatics class today." The man announced as he approached his desk. The whole class gulped in response. Shit! Is it a quiz? Another test?
We were all anticipating what Aizawa would say next as we all bit our lips anxiously...
"Code names. You'll be coming up with hero names." The sensei blatantly replied. Most of the class rejoiced thinking that we would do something exciting while I sat in my seat, nervous as hell. I-I didn't realize we would need one this early.
"This is related to the Pro Hero Draft Picks I mentioned the other day. The drafts begin in earnest in the second and third years, after students have gained experience and can become immediate assets to the Pros." Aizawa narrated calming the ruckus down in front of him.
"In other words, for them to extend offers to first years like you shows that they are interested in your future potential. These offers are often cancelled if that interest dies down by graduation." The man continued and I shuddered. M-Mean.
"So we'll have to prove ourselves once we get picked, huh?" Hagakure asked Aizawa to which he acknowledged in response. Drops of sweat ran down my forehead. W-was I picked? Th-there's no way right.
"And here are the totals for those with offers." Aizawa announced as he clicked his remote. I clenched my fist hoping to calm my tensed state.
"In other years, it's been more spread out, but all eyes were on these two this year." The man concluded and the class responded bitterly. My heart pounded. As soon as I saw the results, different emotions battled in my mind.
4th Iida Tenya - 301
5th L/N Y/N - 272
6th Yaoyorozu Momo - 108I-I got... picked? My eyes widened in both surprise and disbelief. I can't b-believe it. Pro Agencies wanted me... ME... to be their intern.
"Todoroki's first, and Bakugo's second...?" Jirou exclaimed incredulously. This sudden remark of hers made me examine the results once again. Katsuki?
1st Todoroki Shouto - 4123
2nd Bakugo Katsuki - 3556"It's the opposite of their placement in the sports festival." Eijiro pointed out to which I slightly furrowed my eyebrows at. Yeah, in any case, Katsuki should've been the one with the most offers. I wonder what hindered the Pro Agencies upon choosing him...
