Listen (Bakugo Katsuki x Reader)

Chapter 33

All of us were frozen in place, almost dumbstruck as to what must have happened in between all of the commotion.

Where are you Katsuki? My mind yearned as stab-like stings pained my heart worrying about the ash blonde male.

"If you mean him, I made him disappear with my magic." A prideful voice suddenly spoke breaking the ice. We all swiftly turned to where the voice was coming from and saw a man leaning against a tree branch. He wore an orange coat complemented by a white mask, black hat, and was clutching a silver walking stick. Assuming his stance, I believe he's with Toga and was also up to no good.

We noticed his gloved hand was playing with what looked like a cyan marble. Each toss the man did to the marble made my heart clench.

"This one shouldn't be on the heroes side, you know. We'll take him to a stage where he'll be able to shine more." The villain arrogantly remarked to which irked me even more.

"BRING HIM BACK!" I bellowed as I clenched my fists. I was raging. My whole frame was shaking, both from anger and from fear. This fucking villain talks like he knows Katsuki best! Katsuki wouldn't ever dream of being on the villain's side.

"'Bring him back?' What a weird thing to say. Bakugo belongs to nobody. He's his own person. You're so selfish." The villain above us mocked which now agitated even Izuku as he clenched his jaw in frustration. "She said bring him back!" My freckled best friend roared almost losing his composure.

"It wasn't just Bakugo, he took Tokoyami, too!" Shoji exclaimed as he panned out his vision towards our surroundings. Tokoyami-kun too?!

"You know, I was an entertainer. It's a bad habit of mine. I improvised a little and took Tokoyami, as well. Moonfish, the man with the blade teeth, he's a fierce killer on death row, and his appeal was dismissed. Tokoyami had such a nature that it trampled that man quite easily. I figured he was good, too." The villain retorted as he now flaunted two cyan marbles between his hand. How dare he make such accusations of both Katsuki and Tokoyami?! They're both aspiring heroes and despise the world of villains. They aren't that foolish to suddenly join the dark side.

"Damn you, bring them back!" Izuku reiterated, now more unhinged than ever. I believe if he weren't severely injured, he'd be eye to eye with the villain right now trying to retrieve our classmates.

Shouto then shot out clads of ice towards the villain in hope to catch him off guard. But... to no avail. The masked man was swiftly able to avert the candycane-haired boy's attack as he flew through the air. "Sorry, folks! I'm only good at swindling and escaping! Fight with hero candidates? No way!" The villain jeered as he took out what seemed like a contact device.

"Vanguard Action Squad, I have the target! It was a short show, but we're closing the curtains! Now, head to the retrieval point within the next five minutes!" The masked man concluded as he jumped from branch to branch, hurrying away from us. As I saw his image fading into the darkness, my heart wavered in fear.

"No! I won't let that happen!" I clamored as I activated my quirk, propelling me towards the villain's direction.

However, no matter how large my forcefields were, it still wasn't enough to catch up with the masked man. Every time I summoned a forcefield, my arms strained making me squirm with pain. Fuck it! He's getting away! Katsuki's getting farther away!

As I looked around me, I noticed that I wasn't the only one trying their bestest to reach the villain and retrieve Katsuki and Tokoyami. Izuku whilst being carried by Shoji looked more determined than ever.

"I've got a plan! Y/N, if you can, I'd like you to encase us inside your forcefield. Uraraka-san, make us float! Then Asui-san, throw us as far as you can with your tongue. Shoji-kun, adjust our trajectory by spreading your arms!" My green-haired best friend planned out despite his injuries. He must be in excruciating pain right now but he chose not to give up and even decided to be part of the rescue.
