Chapter 27

At School

"Are you serious?!"
"Really, Bakugo?!"

Eijiro and Sero laughed in unison mocking the really angry Katsuki in front of them. This was because his hair was still neatly weighed down like how it was last night.

Even I couldn't help but chuckle when we met this morning, so I couldn't really blame the two. I giggled at that thought.

"Stop laughing! It won't go back to the way it was, even after I wash it. Stop laughing or I'll kill you!" A tick formed upon the ash blonde's forehead as he was continuously teased by his two friends. I just sighed pitying the cornered Katsuki beside me.

"Wow, that's so amazing!" Jirou and Mina exclaimed across the room as they listened to Tsuyu's experience during her internship.

They were all excitedly sharing their trainings and stories while I nervously sat down, hoping that no one would ask me how mine went. I fucking haven't told Katsuki the whole truth about mine yet!

"But the ones who had the most difficult time, were you four huh?" I shuddered as Denki turned towards me, Shouto, Iida, and Izuku. This remark of his suddenly reverted the whole class's attention towards us.

"Oh yeah, the Hero Killer!" Sero declared as he hanged from Katsuki's grip.

"It's great that you're all alive. Really." The redhead beside him, also hanging from Katsuki's grip, continued.

I sweatdropped as I could feel a certain ash blonde male's glare at the back of my head. He's fucking murdering me in his thoughts. I'm sure of it.

"Endeavor came to the rescue right?"
"Amazing. It's just as we expected of the number two hero."

The whole class muttered as they gathered around us. Thanks to Hosu's chief of police, it really was deemed that Endeavor was the one who subdued the villain Stain and we were just there as mere bystanders. However...

Katsuki then lets go of Eijiro and Sero as he turned towards me. Shit! He's onto me.

"Come with me, dipshit. I have a bone to pick with you." The ash blonde roared as he grabbed me by my arm, his eyes fuming.

I gulped as I panned my eyes in fear, seeking help from my classmates. However, they were all busy asking Shoto and the others about the story behind the Hero Killer: Stain.

Katsuki took this opportunity to corner me at the back of the classroom behind everyone else, his crimson orbs fixated on me.

"W-What is it, Porcupine?" I asked, trying to break the tension between us.

"Away from danger, you said. Just patrolling, you said. Then why the fuck were you in Hosu City? Along with those fucking bastards?!" Katsuki growled, however only at my ear. I assumed that he didn't want others to eavesdrop on our conversation.

"I-I.. Well.. I-It was a coincidence.." My eyes panicked as I tried to find the right words to say. Who knows what Katsuki will do to me once he found out that I really meant for myself to be in that situation.

I glanced at the ash blonde male and my heart ached. It pained me to see him all worried about me like that. His breathing was erratic, his forehead full of sweat, and his body showed just how uneasy he felt at the moment.

It's not fair for me to have him be distraught like that. And so...

"I'm sorry Katsuki. But I really am fine. Even if I happen to be at the location where Stain was at the moment, I swear I was okay. I didn't get hurt in any way. I promised you, right? I would choose myself this time. And so I did." I responded as I slightly wrapped my arms around Katsuki.
