I was awoken by the sunlight that crept upon my eyes. I reluctantly pushed my blankets away from my body. I looked around and noticed that my curtains were already open. How long was I asleep?
I checked my phone and gasped. Shit. It's already 11 a.m.
"The letter!!!", I screamed as I frantically ran towards the living room. I stopped as I saw my mother sipping her tea on the couch. I smiled weakly, rubbing the remnants of last night's sleep in my eyes.
"Good morning, Mom. How was last night's sleep?", I asked sweetly. She just gave me a cold nod as a reply and continued to drink her tea.
"T-that's nice. I.. guess hehe." I chuckled nervously as I gradually skidded outside the house. As I almost reached the mailbox, I heard my mom utter something.
"If you're looking for the letter from UA, it's already in your room.", she said, still not averting her gaze at her tea.
"Oh. Okay, Mom. Thanks." I replied as I hurried back to my room.
My heart was pounding profusely. This is it, Dad. This will determine my fate. We're finally fulfilling our dreams.
I tried to control my breathing because it's as if I was losing air due to nervousness. I arrived in my room and noticed an envelope with the logo of UA printed on it resting on my study table. I clasped it and noticed that the glue on the envelope was kinda.... uneven in a way like it was badly closed. Nah. It's probably just me. I ridded my thoughts and just focused on what's inside of the envelope. I slowly pulled the letter out and closed my eyes.
Before I opened them, I huffed a bit of air, mustering a little bit of courage. Here goes.
I opened my eyes and gasped at the results. There was a hologram too but I'll just summarize what it said.
Villain Points: 38
Rescue Points: 29
Rank: 5th"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I PASSED!!!!", I exclaimed.
First Day
One would think that since it was me and my father's dream to be accepted in UA and become a hero, I would be excited for today's events. But sadly, my heart is super nervous and anxiety has flooded my brains, so my body refuses to get out of bed. It's already past 6 and I'm still on my pajamas. Should I just ditch my class on the first day? It's probably nothing important anyways.
What if I get bullied? What if the students don't like me? What if they let me fight other students using my quirk on the first day? Yeah. Skipping would be better.
"If you don't want to be here. Then fucking leave, you extra. You don't belong here."
I heard a familiar voice in my head.
Mr. Kacchan???
That felt so weird.
Although that IS strange
He's right. I finally got into my dream school and I chicken out on the first day. That's not what you would want, right Dad?
I huffed a bit of air, mustered a little bit of courage and pushed myself out of my bed.
"I guess Mr. Kacchan gave me courage again today.", I smiled at that thought.
I checked my phone and gasped. It's fucking 6:30 am. I panicked as I tried to make myself ready for school.
As I finished, I noticed my mom about to go upstairs but then turned back when she saw me. That's... peculiar.
"I'm off to school, mom. I'm sorry I couldn't eat breakfast again. See you later. Loveyouuu!", I shouted as I ran outside the house.
