two boys had Thomas by his arms, dragging him across the glade while another was pulling Teresa by her wrists.

"this is such a waste" Gally's emotions were almost impossible to read since i dont even think he knew what to feel.

"Gally, it doesn't feel right man" Jeff broke the silence

"what if Thomas is right, what if he can lead us home" i walked over to Frypan and hugged his and Jeff's side.

"we are home, alright? i don't wanna cross anymore names off that wall" Gally's voice was solid

"then don't. what if the grievers come back? what do we do then?" i looked at Gally only for him to avoid my gaze

"then we fight" Gally still had his back turned but i could feel the expression on his face.

"you really think banishing us is going to solve anything?" Teresa now had her hands tied to a wooden pole.

"no, but this isn't a banishing. it's an offering." Gally's voice was the coldest it had ever been, shooting shivers down my spine.

"what? Gally! are you listening to yourself? your crazy" Teresa was trying to somehow convince everyone that what Gally was doing was wrong, but no one seemed to care.

"you shut up. tie him up. did you hear me i said tie him up" before the boys even got a chance to grab Thomas, i nodded towards Newt and Minho signalling them to move. Thomas elbowed one of the boys in the stomach and Newt hit the other over the head. Teresa took a hit to the boy in front of her in the crotch, letting Frypan move forward and let her go.

"you're full of surprises aren't you" i stayed behind Gally, incase anyone tried anything.

"you dont have to come with us but we are leaving. anyone else who wants to come now is your last chance" Thomas looked around at the boys, all looking confused and scared. i saw Chuck with all of the bags and i gave him a look to tell him to stay where he was.

"at least out there we have a choice, we can make it out of here i know it. Gally, come with us" we all knew that Gally wouldn't move, so Thomas just accepted it. a few of the boys walked behind Thomas, sending Gally apologetic looks as they passed him.

i made my way over to Chuck to grab a few bags, avoiding eye contact with everyone.

"you too?" i didn't even have to look to know that Gally was talking to me. i looked at him, a sad expression on my face

"i'm sorry, Gally. you made your choice, now i'm making mine." i walked over to him and kissed his cheek  before walking back, standing next to Newt who gave me a small smile in reassurance.

"good look against the grievers" and with that, we made our way into the maze.

~

after a few minutes of running, we ended up in a place that looked nothing like the glade or the maze. it was more manmade than anything i had ever seen before. we came to a stop, guessing there was a griever.

"is it a griever?" Chucks fear was coming off of him in waves

"yeah. Chuck, you stay behind us" Minho gave Chuck the key

"it's alright Chuck, just stick with me" Teresa smiled at Chuck, tying her hair back

"no, he's staying with me" i grabbed his hand, giving Teresa a glare. i didn't trust her so there was no way in hell i was leaving Chuck with her.

"alright, we can do this. we get out now, or we die trying. Let's go!" Thomas run straight towards the griever with everyone following. the boys pushed the griever to the side, allowing me Chuck and Teresa to run to the door but before we could, the key was knocked out of Chucks hand, causing him to go running after it.
