Since most of the fandom doesn't want to say that wilbur just fucked a normal salmon. I'm going to say that she was a shapeshifter. Her most dominant animal form is a salmon so that why wilbur said that. It would also explain why Funday is a fox he got part of the genetics but only a bit of fox.
