Phil ruffles his wings/feathers and there a two reasons why. 1 when he is comfortable and like settling into a set because he's cozy or 2 when he either whats to see threatening by making himself look bigger or when he feel protective of someone else. Overall i just think you would be able to tell a lot about what he's feeling by his wings.
