Every inch of your skin is a holy grail I've got to find

Only you can set my heart on fire, on fire

Yeah, I'll let you set the pace, 'cause I'm not thinking straight

My head spinning around I can't see clear no more

What are you waiting for?

Love Me Like You Do, Ellie Goulding

.......

The days seemed to whir by in a blur of rehearsals, secret meetings, schoolwork, new music, and snowstorms. Beacon Hills had had the last three days off of school because of snow, but that wasn't going to stop Lycanthropy from getting their music on.

The four band members found themselves huddled in Scott's garage in the bitter cold. The metal chairs they sat on didn't help matters either.

Allison shifted, sitting in her hands to provide a barrier between her legs and the ice-cold stool.

The power had gone out five hours ago, and as of two hours ago there was a driving ban. She prayed it would be lifted before nightfall.

Scott prayed it wouldn't be. Tomorrow was Valentine's Day after all, and he desperately needed an excuse to spend it with Allison.

Stiles couldn't sit still any longer. "Guys can we please just play something? Anything, God, I'm begging you, I'm going to lose my mind!"

A round of sighs rose from his three friends. "Try playing any of these instruments with no electricity. Besides McCall of course, damn percussionists," Danny rambled.

Allison grudgingly groaned in agreement, and Scott smirked triumphantly. Finally playing the drums was benefiting him in some way.

Stiles gawked at his friends, not able to believe their ignorance, "Guys, are you out of your freaking minds? Do you think Beethoven played an electric guitar-"

"-Beethoven didn't play the guitar. He played the piano," corrected Allison, not able to help but enlighten him. She was trained classically, even though her friends forgot that most of the time.

"Shut up, Al. Anyways, do you think he was playing a keyboard or some shit? Guys, people have made amazing music without technology. Look around us, we're surrounded by the instruments Scott's dad left behind."

Scott frowned at the mention of his father's name, but Stiles did have a point. His father was musically gifted; he played the piano and guitar like a present day Beethoven. It was Melissa who introduced him to rock and roll.

Stiles continued, "C'mon, guys, who says we have to be all rock all the time? A little acoustic guitar isn't going to kill us, nobody even has to know."

"I'm so in," blurted Allison.

Danny smirked, "You know how I love a little country now and then."

Stiles jumped up before Scott could protest, "Majority rules! Operation Acoustic begins now."

An acoustic guitar was plucked off the collection on the wall; a mini-grand piano rolled out from the corner like it was nothing. Allison grinned ear to ear as she cracked out the old cello. Her uptight parents would be proud.

"But what song should we play?" prompted Scott, after all the instruments had been gathered in an awkward arrangement in the center of the room.

Stiles smiled, "That's the thing. We can play anything we want."

"Highway Don't Care, Tim McGraw. Featuring my husband Keith Urban and my Queen, Taylor Swift," Danny suggested.

"I'm game," answered Stiles, "Argent, we're gonna need you to sing some harmonies with me, and a couple lines by yourself..."
