Because I don't sleep at all without you pressed up against me

With only one more day to rehearse before they drove to the city, the stakes were high. On Friday, all throughout school, Scott couldn't focus. His foot was keeping the beat to all of the songs from their set, and his mind was endlessly running through the music. Stiles found himself doodling some of his favorite lyrics in his notebook. Allison picked at the minor callouses she's earned on her fingertips from playing bass.Somehow, since Allison's mother was out of the picture, her father had lightened up quite significantly. He didn't think twice about letting her go on the trip. He even said that he'd like to hear them play some time... She would have to pre-approve the set list for that particular performance. With loosened reigns, Allison really started to feel like a senior in high school. She was practically an adult, after all.
After school on Fridays, Lydia and Allison would usually hang out and then head out to watch some sort of game, because being Homecoming Queen would require a certain red-head's presence there, but not that week. The band had a final hour-long rehearsal to go through their set, and then they were going to blow off some steam.
Some may argue that getting a good night's rest before a performance would be ideal, but not Lycanthropy. They usually prepared with a late night of hanging out and goofing off. Even Stiles wouldn't push them to rehearse during that time.
They ran through all of their numbers - the new ones twice - and then decided that they'd had enough. Over rehearsal was a fear of Scott's, and everyone followed his lead.
Sitting on the couch in Scott's living room that night, Allison felt at home. It had been a long time since they all just sat down and talked with no distractions or worries.
"So," Scott was saying, through a mouthful of cool ranch Doritos, "Stiles. Tell us about you and Lydia."
Stiles sat back on the couch and kind of hugged his knees to his chest, "I love her. I mean, we haven't said it yet. But sometimes she'll show this side, and, I don't know..."
Allison smiled, knowing exactly the side of her he was talking about, "And there's just so much more to her than everyone thinks." She picked at a loose string on her sock, twisting it around her finger, "Why don't you just tell her? She could really stand to hear it, from anyone, but especially you."
Stiles smiled surprisingly shyly and folded his hands, "What if she doesn't say it back?"
His statement absolutely floored Scott, who let his shocked emotions paint his tan face. "Dude, you're a totally badass lead guitarist in a kickass band, totally deep, and came out to all your friends without a fear in the world... How could you be afraid that she wouldn't be head over heels? She's over the moon."
This earned a flustered laugh from Stiles, and Allison smiled in agreement with her ex.
"I guess you're right, Scotty Boy. I'll have to get on that, I suppose."
"Hell yeah, you will. Now let's order some Chinese food."
Once the food arrived, Allison and Stiles split an order of lo-mein and an order of steak sticks, while Scott, predictably, over-indulged. He inhaled pork fried rice, chicken, steak and crab rein gun like it was nothing. Although they knew he'd regret it thoroughly later, no one said anything. A fight was not what they needed. Plus, in the back of her mind, Allison wondered if maybe a big meal would help Scott to sleep without a pill.
As they figured, an hour later, Scott was a belching blob on the couch, but Allison secretly thought it was cute how he would clutch his stomach.

The following morning, they shipped put bright and early, Allison not bothering with makeup because she knew the guys would tease her for taking extra time in the bathroom.
