Back at Chase, he was still in his puppy house, huddled under his blue-tagged blanket. The encounter on the last day didn't exactly give him sweet dreams, but was more than determined to make friends. "I can't just keep waiting, Marshall and Everest could be in danger and need my help, I'll get down there now at any cost."

He put on his spy vests and helmet, opened the door of his puppy house. The sight made him gasp quietly and left a bitter taste.

The coyote that first attacked Everest and Marshall and then attacked him was still where the Shepherd took his life and was covered in fresh white snow that fell during the night. If it hadn't been for that detail, Chase would be sure he would have seen a pool of blood under the body. Chase bit his lip angrily, remembering what he'd done. It got what it deserved ...

He tried again to get in touch with Ryder. "Chase to PAW Patrol, can anyone hear me?"

He waited for an answer, but no one answered, just rustling. He tried Rocky, Zuma, even Marshall and Everest, but it all ended the same way.

Chase sighed in defeat and walked to the edge of the cliff where he could still see Marshall's ambulance there. "Okay, I'll just do it as I planned."

He barked so that his puppy house transforms, he became his spy cruiser. "Ruff Ruff! Abseil leash!" he went on. The mechanism released the line in his direction, and he quickly grabbed him. He wrapped it under his stomach and when he did he tried to slowly walk over the ledge. He made his way downstairs.

When he was about halfway up he slipped a little and his jaw hit the hard ice pretty hard. Fortunately he was able to regain a foothold quickly, but also felt a little lightheaded so he closed his eyes and stayed just a little bit in this one spot so he could safely walk the rest of the river, once his dizziness is gone, he walks the Path. It will leave its mark ... he thought, gently rubbing his jaw. Better be careful where I go next time.

The German Shepherd continued down the cliff and finally made it down safely after 10 long minutes. So he pulled away, approached the ambulance, and opened the doors. Nobody was in.

Before he could even think of an obvious question, he heard a growl near him. His reflexes failed and he was pushed against the door by a coyote. In the end, it hit the back of his head pretty hard so he didn't have time to recover when the beast attacked and sank his teeth into his foreleg. The hardest part was crippling Chase's leg and drawing blood easily. Chase reacted this time and bored its claws into the animal's face. One of them landed in the left eye and threw it off. With one swift movement, Chase reached the doors and closed them before the animal could jump on him again. He fell on his back.

Chase went ahead and took off his helmet and lay on his back with his eyes closed, gasping for breath. After a few minutes he opened his eyes and looked down at his leg. Oh damn. Of course that would happen ...

Unfortunately, when he inspected his injured leg, it became soaked in blood and dripped like raindrops. He tried to lick it, but it stung so much that he winced every time he did it. His experience had taught him to look for peroxide for this type of injury. Infection was the last thing he wanted if he was to survive. He started moving everything in the ambulance. "Come on, come on, there has to be something somewhere."

Finally he found what he was looking for, so he took off his vest and before using it. He started to breathe deeply, if he cursed half the town of Adventure Bay, he knew what came next would never let him in a library again. His self-preparation didn't work so well either.

"O-Ok. Ok, ok, ok, ok! This will be easy, heh. I mean, I'm a strong puppy, right? Heh, the strongest of the PAW Patrol. It can't be that bad." He slowly tipped it Bottle around ... "Well, nothing goes here - GOD DAMN, AAHH! There were only a few drops, for God's sake!"

After breathing heavily for a while, he finally calmed down. "M-Man, this bite mark must be more tender than I thought. Okay, okay, it's time to get this over with, I have to keep looking for Everest and Marshall as soon as I can." So he poured at least half of it into a mug he found, took another deep breath, and poured all of the peroxide onto the bite wound at once. As soon as he does that did, he jumped almost right through the roof, screaming and cursing. "_GGGRRRH! WAAARUMM!

And he just fell on his side again, crying, and holding his injured leg as he waited painfully for the intense sting to slow down. After about five minutes, he began to calm his breathing, then put an antibiotic cream on the wound, and went ahead and wrapped his leg. "Now I know what a hell of a soul must feel like ... Fuck it, I have to go."

Chase hobbled over to the windows but saw two of those beasts still walking around the doors, including the one that bit his leg. He felt anger rise up his body. "The beast will pay ... he can't get away with it."

The spy pup took a few deep breaths, quickly opened one of the doors and shot three calming arrows into these two animals, and soon they were cold. On the first try, yes! he thought. Then he jumped out, but landed incorrectly on his injured leg and collapsed in pain. Well ... that wasn't that smart of me, was it?

After a few minutes the pain subsided a little. He looked at the bandage and saw only a small spot in the blanket where he was starting to bleed again. Fortunately it wasn't much. He hobbled over to the unconscious scavengers and growled louder than they did when they were conscious. And with that he went ahead and finished them off, and soon enough the coyotes died.

I regret nothing.

He left the bodies and went back to the ambulance. "Well, that's it now, you better go ahead and try to keep track of where Marshall and Everest have gone now."

Then he looked at the sky, a storm rolled in. "At the second thought I'll wait until the storms are over. It's no use searching in a blizzard and freezing to death ... You guys don't mind, do you?" He asked the corpses, giggling.

He turned, hobbled back to the ambulance, jumped in, and closed the doors. Just as he was about to lie down, he saw Marshall's blanket and said, "Well ... I'm sure Marshall won't mind if I use his blanket to keep me warm." he muttered and snuggled up against his own body when he felt certain smells. "So ... share blankets, huh ...? Well done, Marshall."

Several hours passed and the storm spread everywhere. "I think we should find shelter, a storm is coming quickly and we won't make it back to the ambulance in time." said Everest, who, after convincing Marshall for the third time that he was unable to walk, still said the puppy that was on her back.

Marshall replied, "Okay, but where can we go?"

It wasn't long before Everest discovered a large pile of snow. Some tricks never seem to get old. "There! Okay, I have to let you down for a second."

"OK."

Everest gently laid Marshall down and began digging a deep hole in the great pile of snow. It was done in a few minutes, so she went ahead and gently picked Marshall up and walked into the pile of snow. She put Marshall down gently. "Are you okay, Marshy? Are you in pain?"

Marshall smiled and replied, "No, I'm fine now."

Everest gave him a small smile and went ahead and huddled against him and said, "Well, we should probably try to get some rest while we wait for the storm."

Marshall smiled back his usual warm smile and nodded. He went ahead and closed his eyes to rest. Everest felt that strange feeling again as Marshall smiled warmly at her ... like the feeling that they were getting closer than just friends. It felt good to be with him, but at the same time she was more worried about him and couldn't help but believe that this was all her fault. Protecting him would be her own mission.

She gave him a small smile and decided to rest too. A long journey lay ahead of them.
