✧༺♥༻∞Second Person POV (but then it switches to Third by accident lmao and this chapter will be long one o.O)∞༺♥༻✧
Your eyes fluttered open but only for a brief moment before you closed them again because of the bright sun. Someone had opened the curtains. You adjusted to the light without moving, still laying comfortably in the bed. This has been one of the best sleeps you had since summer started. The cool air conditioning and all, and being able to be with your best friend (and crush). Your eyes trailed from the window, where outside was sunny and not a cloud was in sight, down to Chongyun's peaceful sleeping face, the sun beaming off of his face. He breathed softly, snuggled up to his pillow. You smiled widely.
"Cute..." You mumbled and reached a hand from under the covers. You hovered a hand over his cheek, hesitant.
"Why now," You sighed and dropped your hand. "Why now is it harder to be myself around you?"
"Maybe because..." You trailed off.
"Maybe because she likes him." Hu Tao smiled.
Xingqiu was hanging out with his new friend, Hu Tao in her yard. Xingqiu texted Chongyun several times to see if he was still up for the beach, but he hadn't responded yet. It is 12 PM.
Xingqiu looked at Hu Tao. He wasn't going to tell her that he knew you liked Chongyun. Hu Tao came over and they both talked for a bit, and he brought up his best friends, you and Chongyun into the conversation. Xingqiu was talking about how you were starting to act a bit off, but he kind of knew why (but he didn't mention why), but it was strange to not act like yourself around your best friends. "Hum, maybe." He shrugged.
"It's so cute~"
"Yeah."
"You keep glancing at your crusty ol' phone. Why's that?" She tilted her head.
"Chongyun, (Y/n) and I were gonna go to the beach today."
"Don't invite me or anything." Hu Tao huffed.
"E..Eh, I mean, if the plan is gonna go through, I can bring you of course."
"Yay! I haven't been to the beach in a while. The pizza place I work at has had my back sore."
"Oh yes, how is Mr. Zhongli doing? I heard he's getting a raise. Lot's of people really like him." Xingqiu hummed, looking at the clear blue sky.
"Ugh, he is a pain, but he's fine looking and he needs the money, so it's cool I guess. He's doing alright." She groaned and flopped backwards onto the dry grass.
"He sounds splendid."
"Yeah, if you're Childe speaking." She cackled.
Xingqiu chuckled. "If Chongyun doesn't answer me soon, we're going to go to the beach without him."
"What about (Y/n)?"
"Ah, a part I left out. (Y/n) is sleeping over at Chongyun's house."
"HUUWAAA! YOU NEVER EVEN THOUGHT TO TELL ME THAT?! THAT IS IMPORTANT!" She squealed, sitting up.
Xingqiu shrugged.
"Chongyun..." You sighed.
His lips formed a small smile.
You blush and frown. "I can see you smiling. You're not sneaky."
He kept his eyes closed. "No, I'm not smiling what're you talking 'bout?"
"Chongyun, your eyelashes are beautiful."
He tried not to smile. "Thanks, (N/n)." (n/n=nickname).
