I finished my sandcastle with Bennett and Razor. We smiled happily, looking at our finished projects. Mine was a smaller one, with a river around it. Bennett's was...let's say, creative? It kind of looks like a blob. And Razor...he basically copied me, but his castle looked like a hill with a hole in it. But overall, we're satisfied and that's all that matters.
"Bennett. Razor wants to play in the water!" Razor said, staring into Bennett's soul.
Bennett chuckled and nodded. "Let's go."
Now I'm left with the castles. I hope no smelly kids come and destroy them!
"(Y/n)?"
I look up and I see a dripping Chongyun standing over me. I smile widely, and so does he.
But I remember back to when he frowned quite a bit since we got in the car. He is usually a positive guy, and I'm never sad around him, unless I had a bad day at school or something. Chongyun usually keeps the positive vibes around, but...
Why do I feel something negative in the atmosphere?
I shake the thought away and stand up. "What's up?"
"(Y/n) is so cute around Chongyun, they're all nervous and stuff!" Squealed Noelle to Lumine, who managed to escape from her brothers wrath.
I overhear them and my face heats up.
Chongyun, still smiling, furrowed his eyebrows. I guess he overheard too.
"I think you said that too loud..." Lumine chuckled and face palmed.
Noelle blushes. "Oops."
Why does it feel like everyone is talking about me!! Not just Noelle and Lumine, but I can feel Aether lurking about, probably saying my name in conversations! Don't get me wrong, I love that kid, but I feel like he knows I'm crushing on Chongyun. Xingqiu better not have said a damn word!
"Wanna go swim?" He asks.
I imminently nod. "And where's my piggyback!"
He chuckled and started walking to the water. "When we get in. This heat is too much."
I walk beside him. "Oh, yeah. Now that you mention it, I think it's gotten hotter since we got here."
We slowly get in the cold water. He falls down, and floats on his back.
"Ah, that's better." He grinned to the sky. "Nice and refreshing." (a/n: dude at this point I might as well kin chongyun in my story. I'm usually the one in the water all the time).
My eyes widen. "Did we put sunscreen on?!"
He chuckles and nods. "We did, at least I remember you and I putting it on."
We hear Aether and Venti gasp.
Chongyun and I turn to see them looking at us.
"We didn't put some on!" Venti screeched.
"Are you eavesdropping on us!?" I shout angrily.
"Not anymore!" Aether grabs Venti by a braid, pulling him up the beach to where Xingqiu put the bag under the umbrella.
"Ow!" Venti squealed, pulling Aether's braid in return. Aether yelps and jabs Venti in the side.
"They were so spying on us!" I growl.
Chongyun laughed.
It didn't feel like...it felt as it were forced, I think.
"Chongyun?" I ask, swimming over to him.
