○●•Chongyun's POV•●○
I woke up with a dry throat and a small headache. What happened? Slightly moving my head to my left, I spot (Y/n) sleeping peacefully next to me, barely giving me room to move without me accidentally nudging them. I don't mind, of course, but I have a lot of questions. Isn't this Aether's room? What even happened?
I lay down for a few more minutes to try and stop my head from thumping. Theres a dry, tasteless, hot feeling in my throat that I can't seem to get rid of.
OH!
This feeling has happened before. When (Y/n), Xingqiu and I went to a restaurant, I ate something spicy, had a whole tantrum, fell asleep, and woke up with the same feeling I'm feeling right now.
Oh, man.
OH MAN! I ate something spicy!
"Yun?" A voice quietly says from right next to me. I turn to see a wide beaming smile.
"Goodmorning, (Y/n)," I return the same smile. "um, what happened? Did I...eat something hot?"
(Y/n) seems to hesitate for a second before sitting up. "Yeah. Basically, Xiangling put spicy stuff from a jar and sprinkled it in our friends popcorn bowl, you took some, ate it, then I got you a popsicle and you fell asleep." (Y/n) flushed.
"Oh, yeah, I remember." I said, also sitting up.
(Y/n) whips their head around to face me, their cheeks slightly burning. "You do?! How much?!"
"Eh- um, all I remember is eating the popcorn, then I coughed a bit, and next thing I know is waking up here."
(Y/n) puts a hand over their chest and sighs. "Ah, I guess that's good."
I gulp, my cheeks heating up by the second. "What? Why? Did...did I say anything, um, out of chatacter?"
(Y/n) shook their head quickly. "N-Nope! Nothing at all. You just kept yelling the words spicy and hot while running around the backyard-"
"I ran around the yard?!"
"Eheh, yeah, you did. I had to chase you, and force you to eat that popsicle."
(Y/n) giggles.
I look away, slightly embarrassed. "I, I'm sorry if I caused you any trouble."
"Don't apologize, yunnie. It's not the first time, ya know. And plus, you can always rely on a great friend like me-"
Yunnie.
"-and Xingqiu, of course. But I'm better anyway. I promise you, you didn't say anything, erm, strange or whatever-"
I'm going to explode.
"-ahaha, that restaurant incident was quite a time. It was the first time you and internal heat were put together in front of Xingqiu and I-"
Why does (Y/n) have to be so...adorable? They are gonna be the end of me.
"-we dragged you out of there and brought you back to Xingqiu's place, where you slept for the rest of the day. You had me pretty worried!-"
"(Y/n)."
They turn to face me. "Ya?"
"Let's go sneak up on our friends." I suggest.
(Y/n) huffed and crossed their arms. "But I wanna sleep! Aether's bed is so comfy."
I sighed and smiled. "Fine, you stay here. I need a drink anyways." I get up and pat (Y/n)'s head.
