"W-what? Anakin Skywalker? The Anakin Skywalker?" Domi says, jaw-dropping. They laugh, and the melodic sound makes me feel very sentimental, for some reason. "Yes, he is dear. Now, would you mind letting the small one come forward? I wish to see her."Padme says calmly.
I nudge Aria forward, and she walks over into Padme's embrace. I feel a pang of jealousy and longing, seeing her being welcomed like a long-lost child. Anakin takes her hand and beckons for me to come over. I do, and their embrace is warm and comforting. There are tears in my eyes when I pull away, and I quickly wipe them away.
"Um, what just happened? With the crystal I mean." Trayden asks, shifting uncomfortably. I wrinkle my eyebrows. Yeah, what was that we just did? I don't normally make things glow..." Padme steps forward, taking the crystal into her delicate hand. "This crystal was stolen from my personal vault on Naboo," She says.
"Oh? But what does that have to do with-" I begin, but something starts beeping, so I rush to the controls. Zoe went back into lightspeed when she saw where we were, but now I regret telling her to do so. "No no no, not again,'' I whisper, my confidence wavering.
Anakin runs over and looks over the controls. "What's the problem? I can probably fix it." He says. I shake my head. "They're pulling us out of lightspeed. There's nothing we can do." He grins. "Oh yes there is." He sits down and starts flipping switches. The alarm stops, and we continue on our course.
I stand in awe, as does Zoe. "H-how? We've been trying for years and never succeeded in fixing it." He smiles mysteriously but says nothing. "Oh, so you're just not going to tell us? Great. Just great." Zoe complains. I shoot her a look, but she ignores me, as per usual. "I believe that I've broken your lightspeed controls. We may need to stop for repairs." Anakin says as if that's a normal thing.
"What?! Zoe, pull us out of lightspeed! NOW!!" Trayden yells, holding onto Domi and Aria. Zoe quickly pulls us out of lightspeed, and we all sigh in relief. "Well, that was fun!" Anakin says cheerfully.
