☆ chapter one ☆✔

all of the survivors were snuggly settled along the few logs that circled the big campfire in the center of the large campsite. you and a few other survivors were making small talk to each other waiting for a new trial to start. a few of you even made bets on who was going to be pulled into hell for a few minutes.

"I bet y/n's gonna be up next! she hasn't been in a trial in forever!" Ace piped up, several others agreeing with him.

"I can't wait." you sarcastically said, earning a few chuckles out of your friends.

"cheer up y/n! I'm sure you'll be fine in your next trial." Jane said with a big smile. "thanks, Jane." you said smiling back at her.

after you thanked her, you noticed a bright glow out of the corner of your eye illuminating the surrounding areas the campfire couldn't reach. you glanced over and saw that a new survivor was emerging from the bright white mist.

"hey guys, look! there's a new survivor here!" you shouted.

everyones attention was now on what looked to be a female slowly opening her eyes taking in the surrounding area.

Dwight was quick to rush over and introduced himself. he was the leader after all. she nodded to him once he finished, and held her head slightly. she must've had a headache. Dwight lead her over to the log you and him were sitting on and sat her next to you. you waved a hand at her as she plopped herself down.

"who are you guys? w-what are you all doing here... in the middle of nowhere?" she hesitantly asked looking to you. everyone started to introduced themselves, she nodded when everyone finished.

you learned that her name was Yun-Jin Lee, and she explained how she had been a music director for the Korean boy band NO SPIN.

she asked what she was doing here, and you began to explain. you explained that she was brought to this realm and couldn't leave, how everyone had their own tent and a personal place to stay, and how everyone had a few items that were considered valuable to them that they could bring during 'trials'.

Dwight explained that during said trials, you would be put in a 4 versus 1 scenario with a killer, and you would have to complete generators to power up exit gates and survive.

you could clearly tell she was nervous to hear all of that and also slightly confused, but all you could do was rest a hand on her shoulder and give her a reassuring glance.

you could only imagine who the new killer would be and what crazy abilities they would have to offer. surely it couldn't be much worse than a rusty chainsaw or hatchets.

right as you and Dwight finished explaining things, a dark mist started to surround you, Yun-Jin, Tapp, and David. you held your breath for a moment before you appeared in the Legion's residence alongside Yun-Jin.

she looked at you nervously, her arms wrapping around herself in an attempt to keep her warm in the new chilly area. you grabbed her arm and lead her to a generator.

you both crouched down on a seperate side of the generator, and you explained how to connect a few of the wires to slowly make progress. she caught on relatively quickly, both of you making fast progress to complete the generator.

just as you were about to complete it, you heard Tapp's scream in the distance. "uh-oh... already?" you whispered under your breath. Yun-Jin looked at you with a worried expression.

"uh-oh? did I not just hear that guy scream? like in pain?" her voice was shaky and loud.

"hey shh. we need to keep repairing these generators so we can survive. we each have a few stages before we completely die." you explained.
