first of all, thank you to everyone that gave me some positive feedback in my a/n, and to everyone that's still here reading this. I appreciate that you all gave me some time to recollect some thoughts and brainstorm, and I finally think I have some more motivation to write this and possibly finish it soon.
also, a little shout out to Killuascuteankles for suggesting having me involve Yun-Jin a bit more. will do, and thank you for the idea :)
love you all and hope you all enjoy <3

your walk was rather short, and that smile still remained on your face. you just couldn't believe it. all these years of being scared shitless of all the killers, and now you were all going to have a casual barbecue together? it was sort of strange.

you pushed yourself into Ji-Woon's tent, that smile still remaining on your lips.

"well you seem ecstatic. he said yes, didn't he?" Ji-Woon asked while pulling you down to his bed.

"he did. I'm just glad we're all going to be together instead of against each oth- wait, I need to tell everyone! we should go to my camp real quick!" you said picking yourself back up almost instantly.

"we..?" Ji-Woon questioned mostly to himself.

usually you just went to your camp by yourself, unless of course... you couldn't walk or you were asleep or something.

"yes, we! you are mine after all. we should go everywhere together.." you replied, your cheeks growing pink as you looked away from him.

you noticed him pick himself up so you turned your attention back to him. he had a bright smile across his face, and he seemed probably the most happy you think you've seen him so far.

he grabbed ahold of your hand and practically pulled you out of his tent and along the same dirt road you knew oh so well.

"hey, no need to rush! it's not too long of a walk to get there." you said, you hair blowing behind you because of the speed he was pulling you at.

"ah, haha. right.." he responded and slowed to a walking pace, his free hand going to the back of his neck rubbing it anxiously.

you smiled in response to that. your hands were still connected, but you had no intention of pulling away from him. instead, you decided to pull his arm down and wrap yourself around it, leaning your head on his shoulder as you walked.

that carried on for a moment before he pulled his arm from you and instead wrapped it around your shoulder. your arms laced around his waist so you were both in a more comfortable position.

it was a fairly silent walk, but you were both very happy. you didn't need words to make the situation any better. being around each other like this was plenty enough for you, and you hoped for him too.

you both soon came through the clearing in the trees, the blazing fire could be seen not too far from you. you carefully pulled yourself away from Ji-Woon earning a sad noise from him, which made you feel kind of bad.

"hey, y/n and Trickster are back!" Yui shouted.

you heard a few 'welcome backs', and shouts from everyone, but you were a little surprised when Yun-Jin came over and greeted you and Ji-Woon.

"welcome back, y/n... Ji-Woon..." she said looking between us both with a faltering smile.

you figured she wasn't yet comfortable around Ji-Woon yet, which only made sense. she did get a sort of front row seat to his... performance.

"Yun-Jin? quite a surprise seeing you greeting me." you said with a smile.

"ah, yes. me and a few other survivors have been talking, and... you came up in conversation a few times. you seem like a very nice person and I thought I'd say something when you returned." she explained rather formally.

before you could say something, she quickly butted in before you.

"speaking of survivors, y/n.. there are two new ones here already."

"wait, really?" you said shocked.

you carefully moved yourself next to Yun-Jin to observe the fire. you could see someone you had never seen before.. a female with short brown hair and a blue tank top. she was quite pretty.

"didn't you say there were two?" you asked Yun-Jin, not seeing the other one she was talking about.

"yes. I'm sure he has already resided to his tent.. he had quite the headache when he woke up. that's Jill there, by the fire." she said while pointing at the girl you noticed earlier.

"ah.. I might stay awhile then. I'd like to get to know them." you said with a smile.

she simply nodded before grabbing ahold of you arm and brought you over to a log. Yui was already occupying it, but there was plenty of space for you and Ji-Woon, as well as Yun-Jin if she wanted to sit as well.

you sat yourself next to Yui, and she immediately wrapped an arm around you, pulling you into a sort of side hug.

"what brought you back here so soon?" she asked while lowering a can of fizzy soda from her lips.

you noticed that once she said that, everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at you. it was a little ominous, but you paid no mind to it.

"oh, that's right! I talked to one of the killers and he agreed that we could all have a group barbecue over at the killer camp! if you guys all want to of course.."

you heard a few cheers from the audience of survivors, and you noticed that mostly everyone had either verbally agreed or nodded towards you.

it made your heart warm knowing that all of your friends had agreed. at this point Ji-Woon had sat himself next to you, so you decided to lean into him.

you had possibly one of the biggest smiles you had ever had plastered on your face, but you didn't care.

this was going to be the best. barbecue. ever.
