☆ chapter twenty-five ☆✔️

you continued to walk hand in hand with Ji-Woon after you both said your sweet gratitudes. it didn't take long to reach the fire, maybe a minute or so.

you pulled your lover over to a log around the fire, and wrapped your arms around him into a sort of side hug. a few killers walked by and awed or waved at you too.

Herman was standing further away, watching you both as he leaned against a tree. you stared at him for a moment, trying to understand his body language, and it seemed as though he was sad.

you poked Ji-Woon and pointed to Herman waiting for a reaction, but he only shrugged.

"it's what he deserves. he's not gonna go around being an ass to my beautiful angel." he told you. a small blush rose to your cheeks, but you still kind of felt bad for him.

sure, he treated you like shit on multiple occasions, but you still had a heart. you wanted to know what was wrong with him.

you decided to go and talk to him. Ji-Woon watched from a distance, making sure to be there if anything went downhill.

as you approached Herman, he huffed and hung his head. before you could speak, he spoke up first.

"y/n, I.. I believe I owe you an apology."

this came as a bit of a shocker. you never thought he would apologize to you.

"it's just.. after you looped me for so long, a-and then, you and Ji-Woon.. it made me so angry."

you didn't quite know what to say.

"why.. why are you upset about me and Ji-Woon?" you asked hesitantly. he sighed.

"you and him made me so jealous.. I just.. Feng, I- I really love her y'know? and because of you, I was finally able to see her the other day. convincing her and the other to come and see us. we had such a great time together."

this made you smile. you placed a hand on his shoulder and grinned towards him.

"I'm just glad I could convince them. you and Feng deserve to be together, Herman. you're both so cute together." you noticed a small blush appear on his face making you giggle.

"don't worry. I'll go get everyone soon for the barbecue. you'll be able to see her again very soon. you deserve to be happy."

"I don't understand how you could be so forgiving to me, y/n. after all that I did. thank you, truly." he said and smiled towards you.

you smiled back before walking back to Ji-Woon.

"I'm gonna go get everyone from my camp. wanna come with?" you asked him while reaching out a hand.

he grinned and took your hand, both of you walking back to the other camp together.

you and Ji-Woon walked back once more, with every survivor trailing behind you both. they all had excited and happy faces as they walked, the bright orange getting closer and closer into view.

once everyone arrived at the killer side, everyone went to their killers. you kept an eye on Feng as she ran up to Herman. he lifted her way up into the air and spun her around before hugging her tightly.

a tear slipped down your cheek at the sight. you glanced around at everyone, smiling and laughing together.

Meg helped Evan cook, Adam talked with Rin and Yui talked with Kazan, all of them smiling and talking around a small table. Nea was once again shocked when Philip surprised her. Jane and Danny were happily chatting together. Claudette and Max shared a long hug as well.

everyone looked so happy together. and it really was all because of you.

you began to happy cry, Ji-Woon holding you tightly as you smiled into his chest.

soon enough, dinner was ready. Evan announced that everyone come to the grill and grab something to eat. everyone got up and took a plate, filling it before taking a seat around the campfire.

you sat next to Ji-Woon, a plate full of delicious looking steak in front of you. you cut of a piece and placed it into your mouth. it was definitely as delicious as it looked.

once everyone was done eating, some champagne was poured. Herman stood up in front of everyone, and proposed a toast.

"to y/n, the one that brought us all together!" he shouted.

everyone soon followed behind him.

"to y/n!" everyone shouted.

you placed your hands over your heart, a big smile on your face.

"thank you all, really. I appreciate all of you, and I'm glad that I brought all of us together. it's my biggest achievement of all."

everyone cheered you on, including Ji-Woon.

he wrapped an arm around your waist and raised his glass.

"to you, my sweet angel."

you giggled and clinked your glass with his, before you both took a swig of the champagne.

once you swallowed, Ji-Woon pressed a kiss to your lips, holding it for a few seconds. he held your face with his free hand, before disconnecting your lips and smiling.

"you deserve this, y/n. I'm so pound of you. I love you so much." he said aloud.

"I love you too, my dear Ji-Woon."

everyone awed and cheered for you both after your kind words, reciprocating the same with their partner.

this was the best night ever.

EEEE I ENDED IT! kind of abruptly, but IM SO HAPPY! I definitely could have made this book go on longer, but I thought of a really cute way to end it, so.

I hope you all enjoyed this book! it was a blast to make, despite the pauses towards the end, which I apologize about. I'm just glad I finally finished it!
