20: ON MY WISHING STAR

On my wishing star
My heart and soul was poured out
The weaknesses buried deep
The secrets no one knew
To have a friend to love
One who would be truthful and faithful.

On my wishing star
Did I lay my comfort
My troubles and worries
The innermost desire of my heart
To have a friend to love
One who would be truthful and faithful.

Wishing star granted my wishes
Gave me a friend worth more than gold
He was ever truthful to the core
More faithful than I expected
Love and kindness his name
His face carefully crafted from God's hand.

I disappointed my wishing star
Drove him away from me
Made him hate me
Just by my spoken words
He never called again
We never saw again.

On my wishing star
I pour out my grief
Please grant me one more wish
I will never tamper with it.
Help me control my tongue and words
Bring him back to me
And I promise to keep him.
