"Okay so, a wooden stake kills me. Ingested vervain knocks me out and if I touch it, it burns my skin. Daylight rings made of lapis lazuli help me walk in the sun, which is why I didn't have an issue outside before because it had gone dark. Blood keeps me strong and I can compel humans like a form of mind control" Raven recited.
"Good! And what about the Originals? Klaus?" Caroline nodded.
"Klaus is a hybrid, vampire and werewolf. A werewolf bite is toxic to any vampire and Klaus' blood is the cure. He has 3 living siblings, Elijah, Rebekah and Kol. The other siblings are dead and irrelevant-"
Damon chuckles to himself.
"-Klaus likes to dagger them and keep them in boxes when he's mad at them. Normal wood doesn't kill them, only a white oak stake does. The ash just puts them in a slumber. Oh and they're very strong so don't anger one by snapping their neck-" Raven smiled. "How did I do? Is that everything?"
Caroline stops and thinks for a moment "Don't forget that if you somehow manage to kill an Original, every vampire they have ever turned dies along with them"
"So don't kill Klaus...or I die...got it" Raven confirms.
"Not just you. Me, Stefan, Damon" Caroline lists.
"Don't forget about Katherine and your wolf boyfriend Tyler" Damon chimed in.
"Katherine? She was the doppelganger lookalike of Elena right?" Raven inquired.
"She turned us" Stefan nodded, pointing at himself and Damon.
"And Tyler? Was he the one possessed by Klaus but then some witch put him in his right body?" Raven held her head in confusion trying to recite all the information.
"Yes, our friend Bonnie " Caroline laughs, comforting a struggling Raven.
"Wait...Bonnie? Dark hair, wears a huge amber necklace?" Raven frowned.
"Yeah..." Caroline said taken aback, glancing at Stefan with slight confusion "You know her?"
"I met her at the library, it was my first day here. She kind of got me my job at the grill with...Matt" Raven sighed.
"Hey look, it's not your fault" Caroline smiled a little, reaching over to grab Raven's hand.
"It feels like it" Raven ran her hand through her hair, just as the phone starts to ring.
"It's the hospital!" Caroline gulps and bolts upright.
She begins pacing back and forth "Hello, yes this is Caroline"
Raven starts to wonder what is being said and then all of a sudden she can make it out, crystal clear.
"I'm sorry to do this over the phone but...your friend Matt...has passed away due to head trauma and extreme blood loss"
Caroline collapsed with Stefan rushing to her side. She begins sobbing down the phone and rocking back and forth "This can't be happening" she cried.
Damon approaches Raven and ushers her outside.
"You okay?" he says closing the front door as a distressed Caroline wails behind him.
The cries muffle and a tear trickles down Raven's cheek.
"I killed someone" she stutters.
"Hey look-" Damon guides her down the pathway "It happens. It was your first feed, you can't control it. But that's why Caroline is going to teach you".
"I just killed her friend! She's never going to help me!" Raven yelled.
"Then I will" Damon reassured her.
