Weeks flew by as Raven tried desperately to gain control over her power and her impulses.
It wasn't without it's up and downs but everyone chipped in to support her.
Damon took her to parties, bars and crowded parks, teaching her how to enjoy the feed and resist the urge to kill. She joked around with him, in a flirty manner but he mostly taught her that being a vampire is fun, if you embrace it. Raven also helped Damon, unknowingly, by filling that empty hole that Elena had left when she died.
Stefan and Caroline both became close friends of Raven's, almost like siblings, supporting her through every step of the way. Stefan saw how carefree and high-spirited his brother became around Raven and he liked that. Caroline helped decorate Raven's new room in the Salvatore Boarding House after her campervan was destroyed and Caroline just loved having a new best friend to share gossip with and invite to sleepovers.
Bonnie and Jeremy forgave Raven, after a few apologies and flowers. However, despite making amends, Bonnie kept her distance from Raven and let it slip to Caroline that she felt a little threatened by Raven's magic. She said that she got 'dark visions' of Raven, whenever the two interacted. Everyone had laughed it off but it stuck in the back of Raven's mind as she developed a little bit of a distaste towards her.
Strangely, Raven grew attached to Klaus' witch Anita. She reminded Raven of the grandmother, she never got to have and she liked having that sort of figure in her life.
Raven became a reformed hybrid. She looked up to Elijah, with his sense of nobility and benevolence and she cherished the bond they had.
Kol would often play pranks on Raven and just cause chaos and mischief in general. He encouraged her to sneak out, whenever she stayed at the Mikaelson house. The two would go on a little night-time adventures, often chasing each other through the woods or visiting the theme park after closing time. Raven felt like a kid again whenever she was beside Kol. She got to experience a piece of the happy-go-lucky childhood that she only dreamt of.
Lastly, there was Klaus. This relationship was definitely the most complicated. Klaus had let himself care about Raven and because of this, he felt jealousy towards her relationship with Kol and Damon. Behind Raven's back, Klaus and Kol got in several disputes about her. He also didn't like that Kol and Damon got to make Raven smile, whereas whenever he spent time with her, it would be under more serious pretences. Occasionally they shared the odd moment, where eyes interlocked and heartfelt comments were exchanged but nothing ever happened.
Klaus, Kol and Damon all left threatening voicemails to Rebekah, telling her to stay far away from Mystic Falls and so far, she had.
Raven was happy. She was wielding her power, controlling her hunger and was almost ready to see her mother.
"You did great today, dear" Anita smiled, grasping Raven's hand and rubbing it gently.
"Thankyou Anita" Raven grinned back, kissing the witch on the cheek "See you tomorrow!"
"No you won't" Klaus interjected.
Raven glanced between the two, in confusion "Why won't I?" she laughed nervously.
"Because tomorrow you'll be on a flight to Nevada" he smiled.
Raven's eyes lit up and she beamed with excitement "Wait, really?"
"Do you think I'm ready?" she glanced back at Anita for reassurance.
"Yes, sweetheart. Go and see your mother" she laughed, handing Raven her mother's grimoire.
"Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou" she cheered, bursting with joy.
