"Come on, hit me" Klaus chuckled, encouraging Raven.

She smiled, folding her arms "I'm not going to fight you Klaus"

"How are you going to learn to control your magic if you don't even know the extent of your power?" he reasoned.

Raven sighed "I thought you said Anita would help me"

"She's only ever worked with witches, not hybrids. Plus, she's my best witch and you could hurt her" Klaus remarked.

"I could hurt you!" Raven replied.

"I'd like to see you try" he smirked, digging his feet into the ground, preparing himself.

Raven accepted the challenge and stepped back too, outstretching her arms. She could feel the power running down from her shoulders to her palms. She grunted, emitting a force from her fingertips that pushed Klaus back and knocked him off his feet, just like she did with Kol.

She laughed as Klaus stood back up "Is that all you've got Klaus Mikaelson?" she ridiculed.

Determined to push Raven to her true potential, Klaus played along and kept throwing himself at Raven for target practice. He would try to vamp towards her and each time, Raven was ready to fling him away. As Klaus moved faster, Raven had to be prepared from all angles, so she started spinning.

She spun faster and faster with her palms facing the ground. The force being emitted from her hands, caused a whirlwind effect that pushed everything outwards, making it impossible for Klaus to get anywhere close.

Whilst Raven was occupied and getting extremely dizzy, Klaus punched a hole into a nearby tree and peeled a shard of the trunk from it. He angled it up, like a javelin and sent it soaring through the air. Raven stopped spinning and let out a painful shriek as the wood penetrated her shoulder.

Klaus took this as an opportunity to strike, vamping directly towards her and tackling her to the ground. They both hit the floor, with Klaus above her, flashing his fangs. His face returned to normal as he gently pulled the stake out of Raven's arm.

"Ouch" she winced, before her shoulder healed itself. The two smiled at each other for a moment until Klaus abruptly vamped up, offering his hand down to Raven. She took it and got to her feet, blushing at the fleeting moment they just had. However, she couldn't get distracted, this was practice.

So she clenched her fist tightly, breaking both of Klaus' legs making him fall to his knees and scream in pain "Payback" she declared, standing over him.

Klaus managed to laugh and crack his legs back into place "You're good" he admitted, getting back on his feet.

Raven smirked and shrugged a little. For the first time in a while, she was happy and actually enjoying herself. Time had flown by and she felt more comfortable with her magic. Klaus was actually helping her. She saw a cliff ledge nearby and pointed to it.

Klaus pulled a face of awkwardness "Stefan once stood up there and tried to convince me to sacrifice him, instead of a woman, Jenna"

"Oh" Raven frowned. Klaus was being openly honest with her about things now. He didn't seem to shy away from admitting things he had done, in the past, anymore.

"Well I want to go up there!" she shrugged.

""Vamp over there then" Klaus shrugged back, stating the obvious.

"I can't...I've never jumped that far before" Raven admitted.

Klaus sighed and approached Raven from behind, placing his hands gently on her hips. He leaned in close to her ear and whispered "Just push off with all your strength. Let go of everything holding you back"

Raven blushed a little "Seems like you're the one holding me back" she giggled, removing his hands from her waist. Klaus held up his hands as if to say 'fair enough' and stood back to let Raven focus on the cliff. She rooted her feet in the dirt and readied herself.

With a sudden lunge forward, she vamped on top of the cliff, looking down over the field. Klaus appeared at the side of her, looking proud. Raven sat down on the edge of the cliff and dangled her feet off the sides. She would never have the confidence to do this if she was still a human.

Being a vampire/witch hybrid had changed her for the better. It made her more confident, more outgoing and just more fun to be around. She had always been drawn to a little danger and excitement in her life and now she was able to experience it all without the constant fear of...dying.

"Thankyou" she said quietly under her breath.

Klaus sat down beside her "For what?"

Raven looked down and fiddled nervously with her daylight ring "For today" she shrugged, smiling "You helped me with my magic and you understand me, so thankyou" she continued.

Klaus looked a bit taken aback by this and nodded "You're welcome"

The two sat side by side and watched as the sun began to set behind the trees. It was gorgeous and felt almost...magical. Raven sat in deep thought for a while until she gasped.

Klaus looked over, concerned as Raven got to her feet "What's wrong?" he asked.

"Matt's funeral! I forgot all about it" she rambled, struggling to get her phone out of her jacket pocket.

2 missed calls from Damon, 3 from Stefan and even 1 from Bonnie.

Raven crumbled. She had just skipped the funeral of the person she had killed. Shame and guilt washed over her like a tsunami. Being hybrid hadn't made her better, it had made her careless.

As she became more and more ashamed, the world around her started to be affected. Wind howled through the trees and all the nearby birds flocked in a hasty retreat. Klaus noticed the change in their surroundings and in an attempt to comfort her, he reached out his arm but Raven turned away.

"I'm a terrible person" Raven admitted.

"No, you were learning control" Klaus assured her pulling her back to face him "You needed this!"

"I can't go back home, to Stefan and Damon, I can't face them-" she blathered on.

"Then stay with me" Klaus said calmly, looking into her eyes.

"What? No! Rebekah will-" Raven continued to yell over the gale she was creating.

"Rebekah will do nothing" Klaus promised "I won't let her"

Gradually, the wind subsided as Raven's emotions calmed down. Her body suddenly became exhausted and weak as she almost collapsed into Klaus' arms.

"Ah come on" he said, lifting Raven up in bridal style "Let's get you home"

Klaus turned and carried her off as the sun set over the horizon.
