"So you was just dropped off on the doorstep of some adoption centre in your little Moses basket with a name tag attached to your shoulder and an ancient grimoire under your arm?" Damon laughed.

Raven nodded sipping from the blood bag Damon had got for her.

Stefan sighed pulling out his phone "I'm going to call Bonnie tomorrow and see what she thinks about all this"

"Some of these books date back years!" Bonnie said in awe, flicking through it carefully, stroking the crumpled and slightly yellowed pages with each turn.

"How did you even get these?" she asked turning to Raven.

"I just collected them over the years because they has a similar vibe to the one I was left with" Raven shrugged "It's like I was just drawn to them...even if I couldn't understand them" she leaned over Bonnie's shoulder.

"Klaus will probably want to see these won't he?" Raven turned to Damon.

"And that's exactly why he shouldn't know you have them. He already thinks you're some rare vampire/witch hybrid who needs to be protected. Don't make him obsess over the books too" he reasoned.

"Wait he thinks you're what?" Bonnie said in shock "How is that even possible?"

Damon, Stefan and Raven all shrugged.

"That's so weird..." she muttered under her breath. She looked as if she was thinking back to something, like a memory of some kind.

"What's up?" Raven asked, spotting Bonnie's expression.

"When I first met you...in the library...I said you felt familiar" Bonnie said rubbing her head.

Stefan leaned over against the table to listen.

"I've had that feeling before. Around other witches..." she implied.

"You're saying that what Klaus said could be true?" Stefan asked.

Bonnie nodded slowly and Raven ran her fingers through her hair and shook her head in disbelief.

"No way" she mumbled. Not only had she been reading about the supernatural her whole life, she might've been a part of it all along. Perhaps that's why she was so interested in it. It was her brain's way of figuring her heritage out.

All of a sudden, Raven's phone starts to ring.

"Klaus" Raven greets over the phone, everyone turns to look at her.

"Where are you?" he demands.

"What are you? My mother?" Raven responds. She was definitely feeling cockier.

"I'm sure there's a joke there about not knowing who your real mother is but I refuse to go there."

"Wow you're so respectful" Raven gasps sarcastically.

"I want you to come over" Klaus says.

Raven smiles "I'm afraid I don't like you like that Klaus" she jokes.

"Let me rephrase, get here now sweetheart or I'll start killing people you care about" he said before ending the phone call.

Stefan laughs with a shake of his head "I think you angered him"

"Klaus, I'm here" Raven yells impatiently down the hall.

No one answers. She walks over to the mirror and fixes her hair when she notices a few photos sat on the cabinet below her. They were family photos. Some old looking, and some more recent ones. In some of them, Klaus was even smiling!
